Super Concerned

Em and Liz return from their vacation to channel any anxieties. Liz rattles on about her high cholesterol, high blood pressure, reflux, and questionable advice from her shrink. Em talks about her old key food groups of candy, cheese, and bread... and crunching veggies 24/7.

On TI: Evan and Morgan definitely know eachother in a biblical sense... a bunch of singles get eliminated in the random format of the show.

Em shares the nighttime fallout of the bank robbery that caused her PTSD.... Liz pivots from immersion therapy to pseudo-science and hit's all the highlights of her astrology concerns and insights after meeting Lori Bell an expert in Chinese astrology in Miami. The sisters are both Gemini's, and Liz is concerned about Mercury in Retrograde but Em isn't convinced...

Meanwhile on Temptation Island, the producers finally strike gold. The sisters realize Mark Walburg the host is the twisted circus leader of the show.

Our hearts go out to the victims of gun violence. Liz and Em talk about the murder of the Muslim families in New Zealand that was fresh on their minds. The sisters talk about processing the traumatic news; meanwhile they reflect on recent changes to the PODbox.

The sisters look for some escape from the 24 hour news cycle, and enter Temptation Island where Cacey's heart gets smashed into a million pieces by Evan (her current boyfriend) and his love interest with new GF Morgan gets officially physical.

Liz shares her weird pre-occupation with optimal seating in restaurants... and how she sends those signals into the universe. Em is compulsively checking her e-mails and refreshing them like a maniac. The sisters want to watch Temptation Island and get off of the compulsive carousel.

On Ep. 3 - the format of the show continues to evolve, and frankly this episode sucked. We still had fun watching it tho.

Em has a great week overall, but worries about the possibility of the elevator collapsing in her parking garage, and then thinks about how she minimizes her own concerns. Liz confirms this is a legit concern. Liz is extremely concerned about climate change, the hot house Earth, and talks about her anxiety spiral, and giant tubs of honey, freeze dried foods, drinking the hot tub water, and other sundry preps.

Meanwhile on Temptation Island Katherine establishes herself as the villain of the show, Shari has a tough time adjusting to single life, Evan shows us his surprising arms, and the couples go on their first dates with the singles.

Liz grapples with becoming a middle aged person with high cholesterol and researching economic depressions, Em reads Seveneves by Neal Stephenson and adds the moon exploding to things to worry about. "That moon-rock thing is a real bummer so put on your space suits listeners".
