On this interview, Mixo talks about his childhood and his keen interest for entrepreneurship. He shares how representing the Tshwane University of Technology at the Microsoft Imagine Cup local finals opened his eyes to a whole new world that he was previously not exposed to. He demonstrated leadership by making it his mission not only to learn as much as he could, but also to share the knowledge with others who did not have access to it. This became the journey that led him to founding Geekulcha which has gone on to have a positive impact on many more young people and the tech industry

On this podcast Maanda Tshifularo (SuperLead CEO) interviewed Mukundi Lambani, who is founder and director at Ambani Africa, an education technology company, that offers an accessible platform for Africa’s foundation phase learners to learn their mother-tongue. Mukundi who has master’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from Bournemouth University, was inspired to create the app after realising that her peers who were starting their families were worried that their children would grow up not knowing their home language. The first version of the app was only released in January 2021 but it has gone to win various awards including the MTN App of the Year 2021, the IDF / IM IN Demo Day 2021, and the TIA Swiss-SA 2021 award.

Noluvuyo is an award-winning technology professional, notably one of the 2021 Mail n Guardian 200 Young South Africans. She has written stories about technology for kids and has published three books, including a coding encyclopaedia that has been translated into isiXhosa and Setswana. She is involved in numerous initiatives aimed at closing the digital divide. Most recently, she helped translate the MIT Scratch Junior curriculum into isiXhosa.
