Salome is also an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and the President of the South African Clinician Scientists Society. She is a consultant and advisor for many organizations including the World Health Organization. After completing her PhD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Salome pursued her post doctorate in Global Surgery at Howard University.
