I’m not trying to sound polished here, I’m trying to sound honest: I’m running for Democratic office because I’m furious about cruelty, and I don’t think we can “normalize” it and still call ourselves a decent country. I’m Clemons Leon Kunkel, a self-taught builder with a 12th-grade education, a big family story, and a long memory of what respect, honor, and caring are supposed to look like. I’m done waiting for “better leaders” to magically appear.
