And his influence continued to grow as he became the Media Director at USA BMX, overseeing the massive growth of BMX racing in America.
Now, gOrk is preserving the sport’s history as the Curator of the National BMX Hall of Fame Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this interview, we dive into his incredible career, his stories from the golden age of BMX, and his insights on where the sport is heading.

This is the premier episode of the Super Rad BMX podcast. Your show hosts are Brad Fanshaw and Tim Lillethorup, who have strong BMX backgrounds. They raced both amateur and PRO, while Brad began racing in San Diego, California at tracks such as Rancho San Diego, Tim began in Omaha, Nebraska at a track he helped get started.
Later these two would meet up to become magazine editors and photographers in the sport they raced. They worked for the American Bicycle Association, photographing, running and organizing the sports largest races.
