Super Sideshow

What is this? A new Super Sideshow Podcast? You bet your booty. We have a brand new trailer for Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts. Plus, information about the Ironheart show we didn't even know we were getting and What if Season 3!  We back, baby!

Captain America: Brave New World

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pHDWnXmK7Y

-We see Isaiah Bradley, the 1950s Captain America and the first Black Super Soldier. He was how the bad guys got the super soldier serum in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Remember him? Well, he's up to some bad stuff...

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Isaiah_Bradley_(Earth-616)

Thunderbolt Ross is now the President, played by Harrison Ford. He's attacked by Isaiah.

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Thaddeus_Ross_(Earth-616)#Secretly_Becoming_the_Red_Hulk

There is a massive fight in the middle of the ocean. And, if you look carefully, you can see the hand of the dead Eternal from, well, the Eternals.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternals_(film)

Lots of Cap fighting, both in his suit and without. Fun stuff. Clear images of Giancarlo Esposito as the Sindwinder, leader of the Serpent Society.

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Serpent_Society_(Earth-616)

Thunderbolts*

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IiAm7KUuoY

You guys can google these on your own, but we have the White Widow, Red Guardian, USAgent, Ghost, the Winter Soldier and Taskmaster. Along with, I think, Sentry. Lots of pretty cool superheroes here.

The Thunderbolts was originally real, real, different. I'm curious what we see with this team, and if Baron Zemo will be involved.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderbolts_(comics)

I'm thinking all this is taking place in New York City, at the Stark Tower, or whatever it was from the first Avengers Movie.

Ironheart

Ugh, yeah, there is going to be an Ironheart Disney plus show? Comes out June 24th.

What If...?

Oh, and we get the final What If...? This December!

We each have a list of 5 things to talk about every week. This week is about the 5 best Marvel movies, and the next week may be the 5 favorite fast food restaurants, and the next might be about the 5 worst foods we’ve tasted.

Iron Man came out in 2008. 16 years later, we’ve had a ton of Marvel movies and shows that have created a blend of cool story telling. But also some lingering questions that have never been answered. We attempt to discuss just some of them. And when I say some, I say way too many for one podcast. Join us as we discuss the loose plot threads of the MCU!

Deadpool is the movie we watched this week. Listen in to learn more about these characters from the comics as well as what we thought of the movie. This one’s a bit of a controversy!

Follow. Subscribe. Rate. Review. Thumbs up. Give us all the Stars!

Show Notes

In the movie, it is suggested that Deadpool has latent mutant powers. There is no where from the comics. In the comics, Deadpool gets his abilities from Wolverine.

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Wade_Wilson_(Earth-616)#Weapon_X

Vanessa is also from the comics, as the mutant Copycat.

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Vanessa_Carlysle_(Earth-616)

And, yes, Blind Al is from the comics too.

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Blind_Al_(Althea)_(Earth-616)

Apparently, Deadpool is “inspired” from Spider-man, even though he has a lot of similarities with DC’s Deathstroke.

https://screenrant.com/deadpool-spiderman-ripoff-rob-liefeld-marvel-comics/

Ajax is from the comics, but no one cares.

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Francis_Fanny_(Earth-616)

The same with Angel Dust.

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Angel_Dust_(Christine)_(Earth-616)

There is some confusion about which timeline this movie takes place in. I think it’s an alternative version of the Singer X-Men. But, maybe not.
