We’re nearly at the end of the four-week bye period, and with only one round to go, the finish line is well and truly in sight!

The weekend displayed the highs and lows of rookie scores, with the likes of SheezNuts going nuts, gobbling up maximum chips around the backline like a quality seagull should to score 103. Then we saw the likes of Sheldrick score a quality 91 in limited TOG, whilst in that same game for the opposition, Dev Robertson gave us a tasty Slice of Deven, as we marveled at his score of 95 singing…

"The sun shines over my horizon, he's a slice of Deven (slice of heaven)"

Then we saw other rookies such as MJ score 32 after being subbed with a corkie, and Ford punched out a 30, along with Buller scoring a 17 on debut. It really reaffirms why we’re trying to get the last of our on-field rookies out of our starting 22 and fill every spot with reliable premos/keepers. Oh, and now we have confirmation that Sicily will miss three weeks.
