Superiority Complex

We're joined this week by Angel Martinez who was on the show before we ever had a studio to record in.  Tawn-Tawn is back, along with Patrick, who is subbing at the White Guy position for John Sandy.  This week, we dig into the news coming out of Star Wars Celebration, we play a few games and have a few laughs, and then Rene releases the Kraken!

Tawny and I continue our discussion of Race in modern day America, but don't worry, we still have time for unexplained noises, Star Wars, and annoying fan bases.

We reveal the photo of Jared Leto's Joker to John Sandy for the first time! What starts out as a discussion of our favorite things from the past week becomes yet another discussion about everybody's favorite band, The Kinks. And, strap yourselves down for what is easily our worst installment of "Weekly Trek Up" ever as Martin and I (sort of) review "Court-Martial" and "Return of the Archons".

This week's show is all about the Star Wars Episode VII trailer. Ok, it's not ALL about it, we also talk about the Dawn of Justice Trailer, the Ant-Man trailer, and we discuss Star Wars Celebration 2015. We also try to figure out whether or not Martin actually hates Quentin Tarantino. He doesn't. Not really, but don't get him started on Wes Anderson!

Well, guys, I made it. I survived my first Con. This year's annual Star Wars celebration was held right in our own backyard and I figured what better what to enter the world of Sci-Fi conventions than through the one that celebrates the movie that made a nerd out of me in the first place. I hit the floor and tried to take it all in, and while I was at it, I tried to talk to some of the people who make these conventions what they are: the cosplayers, the attendees, and the people who love these films like I do. I know the sound quality on some of the interviews isn't the best, but I hope you will enjoy this episode in the spirit it was intended.  May the Force be with you, yo!
