Retailers are pushing back on Labor's promise to outlaw price gouging by supermarkets if it wins the election. 

They are questioning the need for yet another inquiry into the sector following the most recent finding by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission that there was no evidence of price gouging uncovered in its year long investigation.
