This is the last of the Hungry Ghost Stories series for 2023. This episode is one of my personal favourites. It’s got the classic horror vibes in confessions such as Hell is Real, The Ghost Haven, Kind Pakcik of Telok Blangah and the Man with No Mouth.
In one of the featured confession - the Cemetery Ritual video - we seem to have caught some anomalies in the footage Our listeners want us to dissect and discuss this, so stay tune for that too. Is it ghost caught on video? Or just lens flair?
All this and more on Supernatural Confessions podcast.
Enjoy.

As Jon and I take a break this Friday because of work commitments, I like to put this featured confession up in its entirety because I feel it’s worth of a podcast episode. I interviewed Alicia Lui about what it is like living with Tian Yan, “Heavenly Eyes”, the ability to see both Gods and Ghosts as clear as one we see the living.
Alicia talks about her childhood experiences and how she thinks that the difference between good and evil is but a fine line. All these and more on Gods, Demons, and Ghosts featuring Alicia Lui, right here on Supernatural Confessions.
Enjoy.

Continuation of 7th month ghost story classics except they are encounters that happened to real people in recent years and not your usual neighbourhood gossips. We got 7 confessions this week instead of the usual 3, and each of them are a grim reminder that the supernatural beings are still very much with us even in today’s modern day and age.
Listen to a coast guard’s confession about increase in water related accidents, a food delivery guy late night encounter, the security guard’s first 7th month night shift, the sad ghost who just wanted a last drink.

The westerners have All Hallows Eve, the Mexicans Dia de los Muerto, the Japanese Obon, Matsuri Festival and for Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong, we have the 7th Month Hungry Ghost Festival.
The festival is feared by many for its high number of ghostly sightings, according to hearsay. This episode talks about first hand accounts during 7th month. Jon and I will answer questions from the community what we think about the lore and how haunting works.

When guardian spirits and gods that we look up to suddenly become our worse nightmare, who do you call? Today’s confessions explore stories from people who placed their faith in the entities that were supposed to help them only for it to backfire.
Our special guest Eileen has the ability to see spirits and speak with the dead. We ask her what it’s like to have to deal with these entities and how does she know which is good and which have evil intent?

The supernatural community believes that dreams are a way for the dead to send a message to the living. Listen to the touching story of “I Love You, Thank You”; and a frightening one “The Dreams Started When I Turned 21”.
Our special guest Eunice has a real life account of Ghost Marriage that was conducted in her family, and to a close friend. Unfortunately the audio quality is affected because she was calling in from work and in a noisy environment. I will be meeting her soon to get her confession face to face.

Shopping Malls are hardly the place one would think there’s a haunting, especially when it’s full of people and bright lights. But those working there after hours experience a different world.
In this episode, we talk about the Feng Shui of malls along Orchard Road and wonder if being built on cemetery grounds had anything to do with the haunting. We also reveal real confessions from real people who had kept the memories buried for decades.
You don’t want to miss the special segment where we show you footages of a possible haunting when we brought our participants on a tour in Changi

When one mentions heirloom, only good things come to mind. Perhaps a valuable piece of Jewelery passed down through the generations, but in today’s episode, we listen to confessions from people who had the unfortunate case of being handed haunted artefacts.
From a rag-and-bone man unlikely method of gaining wealth, to a vow made by a spirit from the ancient chinese dynasty period to grandmas’s magic cabinet, these real stories told by real people will make you think twice about the next old furniture you inherit.
