Many hide their fear behind what they think it’s a shield of faith, but in reality they’re still very much afraid. They won’t go to the doctor because they’re afraid of what he might say. They won’t talk to a bill collector because of what they might say. That’s not faith. This teaching gives examples in scripture of people who had to move from a position of peace to prepare for a miracle in their lives. Doing what is natural first, before the miracle happens.
