Say "yes." Spiritual teacher Barbara Biziou has taught me, and thousands of her students around the world (Donna Karan and Gabby Bernstein among them), many things over the years, but one of the most powerful for me is embracing the possibility of "yes." Barbara says we, as creative women looking for new experiences, say it far too little.
Barbara is a student of global culture and rituals who uses "practical spirituality" to support you in creating an extraordinary life. I met her in 2010 during a time I said "yes" when, after a dinner in NYC with my friend Tai Beauchamp, I ended up accompanying Tai to one of Barbara's vision board workshop. I had never heard of Barbara Biziou – or vision board workshops – but after standing there and hearing what it was all about, I said "yes," even though I didn't know exactly what it was. I've been creating vision boards with Barbara every year ever since – for my personal life and for my business.
Now, Barbara is prepping for her 2020 Vision Board Workshop in New York from Friday, January 17 - Sunday, January 19th -- which I can't wait to attend! And in this episode, which is a rewind of her first appearance on Episode 9 of the Support is Sexy podcast on July 17, 2016, she shares the power of vision, beliefs and intention, and why , as women it's important that we understand each. (Learn more about Barbara Biziou's upcoming 2020 Vision Board Workshop at barbarabiziou.com.)

Danielle Mercurio is a confidence coach and meditation teacher empowering others to be successful and live meaningful lives. Danielle says she spent a large part of her life trying to "fit in and play it safe. And instead of expanding, it diminished [her] greatness and left [her] feeling boxed in." Eventually, she left her corporate job to build her own business and live life on her own terms.
Through her work, Danielle now brings her full self to the table, and also brings comedy to the self-help space with her one-woman stand-up show, Does This Make Me Look Spiritual? The host of the Curiously Confident podcast, she is known for her captivating storytelling and unfiltered advice.
I first met Danielle in 2015 at a mastermind meeting where she gave me a read — literally! Barely knowing me but reading my energy, she told me that I was very tapped into my masculine energy and needed to drop into my feminine. Huh?! I was confused and my ego was bruised — and then it totally made sense. During this episode of the Support is Sexy podcast, Danielle shares what it means to tap into your feminine energy, and the best ways to — as an ambitious women — be both vulnerable enough and confident enough to embrace that beautiful part of yourself.

Some days, some weeks, you may not feel like you're winning. You may feel like you weren't the best in that meeting, on that call, at that event -- but that's okay. As I share in this episode, words of wisdom from Wahne Tubman, founder of SoulBalmSisters.com, helped me remember to still count that day if it's one where you showed up and did your best. If you've listened to the Support is Sexy podcast more than…let's see…twice…then it's likely that you've heard me mention, quote or share a lesson from Margo Geller. Margo is a licensed psychotherapist, business and life coach, and a professional counselor, who helps business owners manage their emotions and stress levels. And, for me, she has been my go-to, trusted business coach for nearly three years.
With a combination of actual entrepreneurship experience and a degree in psychology, Margo uses her experience and education to encourage entrepreneurs to identify what's working and what needs to be improved in their businesses. She then gives actionable techniques for ways to make necessary changes — such as her signature Anger Management/Releasing Tool called "Scribble and Scream."
Margo says that we have difficulties making progress with our goals when we allow our frustrations and fears to get in the way. On this episode of the Support is Sexy podcast, Margo shares why it's important for entrepreneurs to get support, manage your emotions, and stress a whole lot less.
