Here's your So Cal 7-day surf forecast starting tomorrow.
Sunday the 17th marks the peak of a WNW swell that promises average breaks waist-chest high while good winter spots could reach heights of shoulder to head high. Winter hotspots in Southern Ventura might see slightly overhead surf, while South Bay and South SD would witness overhead+ sets.
Monday the 18th, expect a fun West-southwest swell to continue as the weekend’s WNW swell backs down. While average breaks will push waist-chest high, good breaks might reach head high, especially at Southern Ventura, the South Bay, and South SD where the surf might exceed head high at times.
On Tuesday the 19th, we'll see a similar pattern as Monday with the West-southwest swell peaking, average breaks pushing waist-chest high, and better spots reaching potentially a little above head high.
Wednesday the 20th brings a strong WNW swell to the region. The wind conditions might be unsteady, but the peak could see sizes likely into Wednesday afternoon and Thursday.
Thursday the 21st will have the swell building with potential for surf running head high to 2' overhead at west facing breaks.
The fun continues on Friday the 22nd with chest to head high surf at west facing breaks.
Lastly, on Saturday the 23rd, expect a NW swell fill in during the day with potential conditions ideal for surfing and possible favorable winds.
The best days to hit the surf this coming week would have to be Monday the 18th and Thursday the 21st. You’ll see strong WSW swell on Monday and dominating WNW swell on Thursday with possible large surf.
