Surf's down, beach lovers, but don't hang up those boards just yet! The National Weather Service Wilmington has officially closed the curtain on the 2024 Surf Zone Forecast season. From the sandy shores of Pender County's Surf City and Topsail Beach to the picturesque coastlines of New Hanover, including Wrightsville and Carolina Beach, and sweeping down to Brunswick's beautiful beaches like Oak Island and Sunset Beach, we're saying goodbye to this year's wave reports.
Our coastal coverage doesn't stop at North Carolina - we're rolling right into South Carolina's stunning shorelines. Horry County's vibrant beaches from Cherry Grove to Myrtle Beach and Georgetown's serene spots like Pawleys Island are also wrapping up their official surf forecast season.
But hold onto your sunscreen, wave riders! The National Weather Service promises a triumphant return on April 1st, 2025. That's right - in just a few months, we'll be back with fresh forecasts, wave height predictions, and all the coastal conditions that keep surfers, swimmers, and beach enthusiasts in the know.
While the official reports are taking a seasonal break, the ocean never sleeps. Local conditions can still change rapidly, so always check current conditions, respect beach safety guidelines, and keep that adventurous spirit alive.
Until next season, stay salty, stay safe, and keep dreaming of those perfect waves! The beach is calling, and we'll see you when the 2025 season rolls in.
