For a new surfer, paddling down the face of a 5+ foot wave can be the hardest thing to get themself to do.
Everything inside you feels like you can't or even shouldn't do it!
But in a beginner surfer's heart as they continue to back off wave after wave, there comes a time when they KNOW they MUST do it.
A place where they go past there feelings and fears and come to terms with what they truly want and are committed to.
Like paddling down a wave, we all face these decisions. And often the HARDEST thing to do in life is simply the ONE THING that we KNOW we MUST do!
You can Google diets and physical training all day long, but the reality is, most of us already know what we need to do.
We know we need to eat healthy, stop eating junk, and train hard.
The issue is that it's just so hard to ACTUALLY DO WHAT WE KNOW TO DO!
And there's only one way to get the body you want β to simply show up and freaking do what you know you need to do to get that body β eat healthy and train.
And for me thereβs only one way to make a marriage work...
It is to show up every single day and do what I have to do even when I hate it, even when I donβt want to even when I hate Luci and want to kill her and quit and strangle her to death.
(yeah, I know, the rage a be anger inside me can be INTENSE.)
Even when I want to leave her.
To create the marriage I want, I must make the decision to go and collide with her again and again and again and AGAIN and do what I know I need to do in my heart
even when I think itβs unfair even if I think I donβt deserve it even when I think I deserve so much more even when Luci seems like the worst person this world has ever seen.
I have no choice but to do what I know I need to do, which can be the hardest thing in the entire world
To do what I know to do again and again
To show up for myself, not for her, not for my kids, not even for God not for anybody except myself... for what I want and what I am committed to having β the greatest most connected and passionate marriage.
Doing what we know we need to do is the hardest thing in the world.
Get more PASSION. Get more CONNECTION.
