No one likes to step out of your comfort zone, but when you're an entrepreneur, you don't get a choice. One thing I've had to learn in the past 12 months is how to step up and be a leader when others rely on me.
I had to endure a few hard years to get to where I'm at now and starting a business I'm truly passionate about.
Todd Harrison is a chiropractor and owns his own practice. He has a track record of growing his business from a referral system. Todd shares why he chose a career in chiropractics and what it was like when he was going to school, first started his career, and what he's learned five years in. He also answers some common myths people have, like popping your knuckles and having children go.
Alex Meade specializes in helping companies adopt a video-first content marketing strategy. He's the host of the B2B Growth Marketer podcast and shares his knowledge in content marketing, SEO, and how to publish content for growth.
I interview the founder of James Alan Tees, a t-shirt boutique on Etsy. She provides great details about some struggles she's faced while growing her shop and how she overcame it.

I interview a developer on my founding team about the difference of being in school as opposed to the real world.
Since my first business, I learned how small and local businesses have been at a disadvantage for a long time, as data provided online is generic to business across America and not tailored to a specific industry or a certain location.
Since entrepreneurs and small businesses have suffered from a lack of custom-tailored data and information that is available, they are forced to make decisions by guessing and they have to fight for every dollar that comes in.
When I realized how unfair it is, I decided I was going to do something about it, and that's when I started SurveySoft.
I started my first business in hopes of a better future and quickly realized without any data it's near impossible to grow your business. That's why SurveySoft believes in smarter growth. We make it easy for any type of business to collect the data they need to strategically grow their business, even if you have no programming or marketing experience.
A few weeks ago, I looked out my bedroom window and what I saw was astonishing.
Weeds … EVERYWHERE!
At that point, I had neglected weeding my garden for months.
I guess you could say, it’s not my favorite thing to do, but
I rolled up my sleeves and decided it was time to finally weed the garden.
After weeding for an hour or so I realized something …
If I spent a few minutes every week weeding the garden, there would be less weeds and I wouldn’t have to commit a large amount of time taking care of the problem.
How similar is that to the way we run our businesses?
Sometimes, there is a small issue that might take a few minutes to figure out and resolve.
Yet, we push it off and don’t do anything until it becomes a HUGE problem that takes a lot of time and money to fix.
Sometimes doing the small, simple things we’ll see great results.
“By small and simple things, are great things brought to pass.”
- Alma 37:6
Don’t procrastinate weeding your garden or fixing an issue in your business.
