We pause this week to examine the state of the American Church System on the 25th Anniversary of the release of the critically acclaimed movie “Do the Right Thing” African American Independent Film Director Spike Lee. He met with much controversy about the film and its possible effect on society. Have things changed in these many years and if so…for better or for worse in terms of Christian America and the application of the true Scriptures of God.

I Want Freedom, Too: Giving ‘Independence’ to the Mentally Challenged.

The moment when a mentally challenged individual demands independence from a caretaker is the scariest moment for both.  How can either be denied their independence?  Is freedom a birthright?  Can interdependence be achieved?

The bible describes Jesus as someone "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you WERE HEALED" (1 Peter 2:24).  Since this is a Believers' reality, why is there soooooooo much sickness in the Body of Christ?...or is there?  Join us this Sunday as we take a close look inside the word of God and reveal the TRUTH about Divine Health.  The Rose of Sharon Show is completely dedicated to Ephesians 4:15.  Each week we provide the knowledge to generate understanding and awareness for leading life 'as He (Jesus) is in this world" IAW 1 John 4:17.

Preaching and Teaching about Jesus!  If you enjoyed last weeks message be sure to listen to this weeks program as we talk about “I gotta make up my mind.”

We pause in our forward timeline of “The Development of Christian Religion” at the 1700’s to investigate how women, non-“Ruling Class” people and non Europeans were treated under the State Religion System of Christianity in Europe and its developing Colony Systems across the World at that time and how that is still negatively impacting God’s Kingdom Walk today.

Race, Gender and Class discrimination has always been in Scriptural Culture but NOT in God’s Kingdom. (1)The Samaritan Woman at the well with Jesus was about “Race” {John 4:9 “Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.”}, (2) Book of Acts has racial issues, (3) the first Judge in Book of Judges was a woman, (4) the first New Covenant Evangelist was a group of women & (5) there is an entire Book of the King James 1611 banned by Evangelical modern Christians. Yet the Book of Galatians specifically outlaws race, class and gender discrimination and the Bible clearly teaches that God is no respecter of Persons (all are equal before God) yet Christians are racial/gender/class motivated---why?
