Nl: De zon hing laag aan de hemel boven de ijzige uitgestrektheid van de Arctische toendra.
En: The sun hung low in the sky above the icy expanse of the Arctic tundra.

Nl: Het licht was constant maar koud.
En: The light was constant but cold.

Nl: Maartje, Lars en Johan stonden aan de rand van hun kamp.
En: Maartje, Lars, and Johan stood at the edge of their camp.

Nl: Ze keken uit over de verblindend witte vlakte.
En: They looked out over the blindingly white plain.

Nl: De wind sneed scherp langs hun gezichten.
En: The wind cut sharply across their faces.

Nl: Lars knikte instemmend, zijn blik serieus.
