In this episode, I am thrilled to share my six steps of surrender with you. My story starts as an executive chasing deadlines and living my best life. Little did I know God had other plans for me. Following a cancer diagnosis, I had to learn to navigate my new reality.  My initial reaction to the diagnosis was to give in to it, but I soon realised that I was doing so for all the wrong reasons. My spiritual journey starts here, and now I have the pleasure of sharing the surrender methods that helped me cope, survive and thrive. In this week’s episode, I am delighted to welcome Payton Lynch to the show. Payton is a storyteller at heart, and as a product manager at The Walt Disney Company, she tells stories through the magic of guest engagement. Payton has been crafting stories for as long as she can remember. Today on the podcast, Payton will share the very personal story that inspired her to research and tell the stories of 9/11 surviving children. She is the author of the upcoming book, Rise from the Ashes, and we get a glimpse into what is to come. The presale campaign of the book starts on April 2nd. The goal is to donate a portion of proceeds to Tuesday’s Children, which supports individuals impacted by terrorism, military conflict, or mass violence. In the second episode, I am thrilled to welcome the incredible human, Reyaan van der Westhuizen, to the show. Reyaan’s story starts as a teenager with a love for fitness. After school, he would discover strength training to build muscle and ultimately Muay Thai fighting for cardiovascular fitness. Reyaan would soon become a South African championship fighter who competed internationally at the world championships in Thailand through dedication and hard work. Muay Thai was his passion until one fateful day when Muay Thai became his lifeline. Today we have the honor of having Reyaan join us on the podcast to share his story of human resilience in the face of adversity with us.
