When you're in a dark place.
The first step to getting out of a dark place is admitting that you're in one.
This can be difficult, especially if you don't want to see the situation for what it really is or if there are external factors influencing your views of it.
If you're feeling down or unhappy, here's some steps on how you can really come out a dark place.
(1) Admit that you're in a dark place
(2) Don't try to do it all on your own
(3) Talk to someone who understands you
(4) Seek professional help
(5) Focus on taking care of yourself
You're not a victim for sharing your story. You are a survivor that's setting the world on fire with your truth. You never know who needs your light, your warmth, and your raging courage. You didn't have the ability to stop what was done to you, but you do have the power to choose how you overcome it. At times surviving is the worst pain. You are strong enough to face it all, even if it doesn't feel like it right now. Say this, I expect what happened to me! I can not change what has happened to me! I am not ashamed of what happened to me! Take the first step and tell yourself how amazing and awesome you are because you are!!!!
