Why does the church need a Pastor? They have the same Spirit and the same Word of God. Yet, man has a proclivity to roam from God, and the pastor has been given by God to the local church to shepherd that local flock of God to keep them from roaming.

Every New Testament believer is a priest unto himself. This doesn't mean that the believer replaced the Old Testament priest. Rather, it means that the believer can stand alone before God. This is made possible by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

A chief part of worshipping our god is bringing glory to Him. So, it is a fair question to ask, "How do you bring glory to God?" There are many ways, but they can all be summed up in one sentence. The believer brings glory to God by continually surrendering to God and His Word.

John Wycliffe, though born in obscurity, would attain high status in Britain. A lifetime student of theology, he would gain the enmity of the pope and the Catholic church because of his writings. What marked this man's faith was his desire to live according to the Received Text of God's Word and not the perverted teachings of the Catholic church.

In the study of the preservation of God's Word, it is important to consider that God uses individuals to perform his desires. At times, He has even sovereignly used the actions of powerful unsaved rulers to accomplish His plan.

God wants His children to have a strong inner man. Some may look strong on the outside but inside they are weak and struggling. No one will ever love us like God loves us. And His desire is that we yield ourselves to Him that He might strengthen and work in us!

The desire of every believer should be to taste the Word of God and to grow thereby. The Word of God is authoritative in all areas of our life, and it is the believer's duty to follow it fully.

What does it mean to shepherd a group of believers that Christ has died for? The assembly which God died for requires the pastors all.

Why do we strive to reach others with the gospel? We work hard here in Harrisburg, we send church planters across this state and nation, and we send missionaries to nearly every continent on this planet. WHY? We have a mandate from God.
