Salvation in Jesus Christ is the foundation for every believer's life. Without it, one can do nothing for God. It all starts with believing in Jesus Christ for remission of sins.

As we begin looking at the book of 1 Peter, it is important to know about the man used by God to pen this epistle. The apostle Peter was both prominent as a disciple with Christ and as an apostle for Christ.

It is not the will of God for us to remain stagnant in our lives and complain about our circumstances. But instead, we are to be continually growing and serving. One of the areas to be growing, is in prayer. As we pray, we are to pray in accordance with God's will, and not just what we desire to occur.

Most Christians fail to serve God because it requires them to step beyond their comfort zones. Yet, the God we serve has the power to allow us to accomplish what He has called us to do.

God's will for whom you are to marry is not shrouded in uncertainty. The principles God gives in His Word are to be your guide, not only in marriage but also in all of life.

Most believers desire revival in their own lives, in their churches, and in their countries. Praying for revival begins by recognizing the mercy of the Heavenly Father.

As we consider prayer, it is always helpful to look at examples of prayer. There is an abundance of such examples in the Psalms. These prayers may be prayers of protection, of confession, of praise, or of trust.

Salvation from the penalties of sin is not progressive. At the moment of salvation, one is once and for all completely saved. There is nothing that can remove one's salvation from him. Our salvation is completely secure in the hands of God the Father.

In one way or another, you need the Word of God to attain salvation. Furthermore, once you are saved, you cannot lose your salvation! But when you are saved, and know the "important" things about the Bible, why should you continue reading the Bible? Why should you read God's Word?

If one is going to pursue God's plan for his life, he must grasp the reality that God is able. He is able to do much more than we can comprehend. The believer has the capacity to be abundantly fruitful in service to God; but he also has the greatest ability to limit God's power. Ultimately, the decision of unleashing or limiting rests on the shoulders of God's children.
