Be still and know that I am God. The declaration of this Psalm resounds loudly today. He is STILL an exalted refuge and a very present help for His saints despite the trouble of this day.

Many generations have come and gone over the course of human history. There are no doubt differences in each, but their greatest and most common need is salvation.

The greatest example of patience can be seen examining the character of our coming King. Examining His character, the heart of the saint is strengthened.

Some would say that patience is a virtue. In fact, patience is a necessity for the Christian life. When one reflects on its oft use in Scripture, its importance will will be made manifest.

All of the pursuits of this life will one day come to a close. Yet, the preaching of the Cross has true power. It transcends this life and solves man's greatest singular need. May we be able to say that we are NOT ASHAMED of the Cross of Christ.

The saint of God should genuinely seek to pursue Christ as the prize of God. Beware, there are many enemies of the cross that though not always open in their hostility are always destructive in their activity.

There is something in Christ's dying expression -It Is Finished- that is a great deal deeper and more wonderful than one might think. In His death and resurrection, He finished the work of redemption on the cross and ushered in a new and living way.

The Scripture frequently expresses the importance of obeying the will of God. The fear of the Lord coupled with discernment are key elements to understanding the will of God.

The distinction of the cross could not be more divergent than it is to saint and sinner. To the world, it is a pungent offense, but the saint values it as precious indeed.

Mindless, thoughtless, careless and untrue speech directed against one another damages testimonies and reputations. A saint of God should be known by their sanctified speech.
