  • Crossroads of Creativity with Regina Linke

Creativity through the lens of an author and illustrator

"Being a creative person, you can just do whatever you want."

I’m Regina, a Taiwanese American author and illustrator specializing in contemporary Chinese gongbi-style painting, an ancient form of brush painting that depicts narrative subjects in colorful high detail. Using traditional ink and wash techniques in digital painting, my illustrations deliver classic subjects through a modern lens.

I did not go to art school! Born and raised in Texas, I’ve always enjoyed the creative arts, but I didn’t learn traditional Chinese painting until after I moved with my young family to Taiwan in my mid-thirties. Holding management degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and Cornell University, I’ve worked in marketing technology and information systems for the travel and tourism industry. Now, I create stories that celebrate East Asian folklore and philosophy in an accessible way.

My most notable creations are the characters from The Oxherd Boy, an inspirational webcomic that started on Instagram. A young boy, his family ox, and a rabbit living in his garden convey the three core schools of Classical Chinese thought: Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism. The collection of these inspirational pieces called THE OXHERD BOY: Parables of Love, Compassion, and Community released as a bestseller in 2024, and was followed in 2025 by an award-winning original story for children called Big Enough. Its companion book Little Helper, which expands on the themes and message of community, comes out in May 5, 2026.

I’m currently working on The Tao of Nature, an illustrated collection of meditations sharing examples of Taoism found in the natural world.

I’m happy to live in Rhode Island with my husband, kids, and our rescue, Yuki.

  • Creativity Management with Claire Giovino

Creativity through the lens of the Co-Founder and CEO of 50hrs.com

"Creativity is turning thought into reality."

Claire Giovino is the Co-Founder and CEO of 50hrs.com, built around a simple belief: most leaders don’t need better productivity tools — they need to design their perfect day and remove the work that doesn’t belong in it.
Early in her career, Claire noticed that email and administrative work weren’t simply time-consuming. They were low-energy, reactive tasks that fractured attention and quietly crowded out deeper work. Email felt necessary and productive, yet it often ended up setting priorities by default. Curious about what would change, Claire began experimenting with delegation and systems, first in her own work and then alongside other entrepreneurs, to see what happened when leaders stepped out of constant inbox triage.
A pivotal moment came while working with online entrepreneur Yaro Starak. By redesigning how his inbox was filtered, handled, and responded to, Claire reduced his direct involvement with email to checking it just once a month. The shift wasn’t about efficiency alone; it changed how his days were structured and where his attention went. Claire saw the same pattern emerge again and again: as people become more successful, email multiplies, and without deliberate systems, it quietly reshapes how their days unfold.
In 2017, Claire co-founded 50hrs.com to address this problem at scale. Instead of offering surface-level organization or software tools, 50hrs.com provides human executive assistants who manage inboxes and calendars end-to-end — replying to emails, handling follow-ups, and learning each client’s voice, priorities, and decision-making over time by becoming an integral part of their business. The model is built on trust, context, and redundancy, with AI used as a support layer rather than a substitute for human judgment.
Today, Claire works with leaders across entrepreneurship, law, academia, real estate, and beyond who want their days to reflect how they think and work at their best. Her focus is helping them protect the limited hours when their attention is sharpest by removing low-leverage work that quietly drains energy and focus.

  • Creative Hope with Lisa Parda

Creativity through the lens of a Real Estate Broker, Radio Host and Author

"How we live our lives is an extension of our creativity."

For more than twenty years, Lisa Parda has helped people buy, sell, and reimagine properties in New Hampshire. As the Owner of RealtyScape Brokerage, LLC, she doesn’t just work in residential real estate — she’s also an income-producing, value-add agent with experience fixing up and revitalizing commercial and multifamily properties. That passion for creating spaces that serve people and communities threads through all her work.

Today, she’s just as likely to be found behind a microphone as she is at a closing table. As co-host of Lisa and Robyn on the Mic, a live weekly radio show, Lisa has spent the past two years hosting two-hour conversations that meander the way real life does. Listeners tune in for honesty, laughter, and the kind of exchanges that feel like pulling up a chair at the kitchen table.

Food has become her latest way of exploring connection. Her forthcoming cookbook, My Love Language Is Food (Fall 2025), isn’t about flawless recipes — it’s about survival, joy, and the small rituals that keep people going. Lisa draws from her own seasons of struggle: long work hours, the ups and downs of body image, and the lessons of using food both as comfort and as medicine. She’s candid about nights when dinner comes from a box, but she also knows the pride of making one dish exactly the way you like it.

At 53, Lisa is choosing to let her real estate career take a smaller footprint so she can make space for projects that leave her energized — conversations on radio, a cookbook rooted in lived experience, and opportunities to speak and travel. Her story is about pivoting in midlife without burning down the past, and about building sturdier foundations — whether in homes, meals, or communities.

What drives Lisa is simple: connection. Whether through a property, a meal, or a two-hour conversation, she believes in meeting people where they are, without gloss. As a podcast guest, she brings humor, candor, and the kind of energy that makes audiences lean in and feel seen.

  • Honoring Your Creativity with Mary Marquiss

Creativity through the lens of an Artist, Author and Art Teacher,

"Nature has been my greatest art teacher."

Marquiss has been a professional artist, art teacher and writer in Bend, Oregon, for 34 years, and the author of Behind the Painting – An Artist’s Memoir, published May 7, 2026.
She developed her interest in art as a child, surrounded by the lush beauty of the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Marquiss attended both the University of Oregon and UCLA, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. After graduating she became the Marketing Director for the first private psychiatric hospital in Reno, Nevada, and then a product manager for HCA in Nashville, TN.
When her daughter was born, she left her corporate career and returned to her art and writing. “I focused primarily on watercolor because it can be surprising and has a beautiful transparency. Painting with watercolor also teaches about control – when to take it and when to let go –as in life,” she explains. “The abstract cruciform design followed - after years of painting large format florals.”
Her recent memoir holds ten of her paintings and a personal story behind each one over a thirty year period. Over time, her paintings created a circular language between her art and her life.
This book takes the reader on artistic adventures in Paris and Southern France, the process of finding her artistic style and through tough challenges she faced including divorce, family suicide, a stroke and cancer.
As a character voice actor, her daughter Katherine Tole joined Marquiss on the audiobook edition.
Her original art and book information can be seen at www.marymarquiss.com.
