With the restart of the NBA season only a month away, I invited CBS Sports Radio and SiriusXM NBA Radio Producer David Shepard to discuss a bevy of NBA topics. I begin by asking him about what made him love basketball along with some NBA shop talk (0:56), I then get into a discussion of why NBA fans care so much about the G.O.A.T debate especially concerning Michael Jordan and LeBron James (16:05). We discuss the impact and influence social media has had on the NBA before talking about how the NBA is preparing for its season restart (38:04).

After a month of incredible UFC bouts, I bring back WFAN Producer and good friend Pete Hoffman to talk everything UFC. I ask Pete what he thinks of the empty arena atmosphere of the past month of events (1:05), the concept of Dana White's "Fight Island" (8:49), we start recapping UFC 250 with a discussion of why Amanda Nunes is the GOAT female fighter of MMA (14:20), and talk about the rest of the 250 card (19:33). We wrap up the pod talking about some news in the UFC such as the potential Khabib-Justin Gaethje bout for the light heavyweight title (29:56), as well as financials in the UFC concerning recent contract disputes between UFC and stars Jon Jones and Jorge Masvidal (37:12).

Professor Brian McFadden on Popularization of news and ever changing rules of social media.

Media literacy is the ability to identify different types of media and understand the messages they're sending.

To emphasize how important this topic is to me, here is a link that will give you a run down of the concept of media literacy. I personally believe we must adapt to the constant changing nature of media and the sooner people are able to adapt and understand the many messages sent by media, the better off we will be.

To kick off talk of the NFL Draft which is a week away, I spoke with Producer and Board Op of CBS Sports Radio's Zach Gelb Show Tom Di Benedetto as I brought him on to talk everything about the upcoming Quarterback draft class. I asked him what inspired him to learn how to analyze QBs as well as how he evaluates QBs (0:41). He tells me how he used his metrics to scout Lamar Jackson when he was getting drafted in 2018 (6:09). We then break down the top four QB prospects this year starting with Joe Burrow (9:15), Tua Tagovailoa (14:08), Justin Herbert (18:49) ,and Jordan Love (21:02). I even ask him how the current world crisis could affect the next draft class of 2021 which would include Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields (25:03).
