This week we watched the same movie for a change, which was Starship Troopers (1997) dir. Paul Verhoeven. Have chill, nice, relaxed Tuesday and listen to some light discussion about military imperialism and violence! 

This week's episode is about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) dir. Jonathan Liebesman... or is it? It should be, I mean Mari got the memo at the end of last week's episode there's no way she'd mess that up, right? RIGHT? Anyway, believe it or not, we manage to have teenagers, mutants, ninjas and turtles in this one!

It's time to switch to a different gear and watch something nice for a change, so we watched Little Women (2019) dir. Greta Gerwig and it was LOVELY. Also we did a deep-dive into the world of 90s cartoons. 

We watched it so you don't have to. Halloween III: Season of the Witch dir. Tommy Lee Wallace made our dear hosts truly lose their minds but not their Halloween spirit as they delved into the least memorable movie of the Halloween franchise. 

Oh boy in this episode the girls try their hardest to talk about The Craft (1996) dir. Andrew Fleming but their brains are completely no scoped by life. So instead of staying within the premise of the podcast the new talking points include such things as emo categorisation, Riina's hatred towards Mr. Big, their upcoming Twilight podcast, Mari's inexplicable deep dive into Emily in Paris and catering at Google. It's SPOOKTOBER and you know what that means: people are getting their Joker costumes ready for the 31st! In preparation for this we decided to watch Joker (2019) dir. Todd Phillips and boy oh boy is it a ride. 

To start off the promised month of spooks the girls watched Beetlejuice (1988) dir. Tim Burton. You can take the girl out of the Tim Burton phase but you can't take the Tim Burton phase out of the girl. Or so we thought dot dot dot this spooky enough for you yet? 

Wanna feel nostalgic about media from the 80s? Well, Ready Player One (2018) dir. Steven Spielberg will give you a list of movies that are way more fun to watch than Ready Player One! In this episode Riina and Mari dive into this two-hour reference extravaganza and come out worse for wear. 

Nothing screams Shrek like a zombie movie, right? The girls discuss the South Korean zombie flick Train to Busan (2016) dir. Yeon Sang-ho and take an alarmingly long time to arrive to their favourite bit about a certain train hopping, lighter flicking dad.
