Emma Novak, from Swarthmore College's women's cross country, track and field programs, checks in for this new episode of Return to Play. During Novak's gap year, she held several internships, but she also discusses her involvement with the performance arts at Swarthmore.

Kim Kockenmeister, a two sport student-athlete from the Swarthmore College women's basketball and soccer programs, checks in for this new episode of Return to Play. During Kockenmeister's gap year, she earned a certificate in Data Analytics and had a one-month internship turn into an eleven month experience.

Jacinta Fernandes-Brough, from the Swarthmore College women's soccer team, calls in from Madrid for this new episode of Return To Play. During Jacinta's gap year, she has been playing soccer for Spain's FC Málaga City and has fallen in love with the way the game of soccer is played in Spain.

Swarthmore College Athletics is back with a new mini-series of podcasts called Return To Play, highlighting student-athletes who are ready to return to competition in the 2021-22 school year. Adjusting to life away from teammates and away from intercollegiate competition was a major change, but also provided these Garnet student-athletes opportunities to do things they might not have done otherwise.

Nichols-Daly discusses transferring into Swarthmore, struggling to find open tennis courts initially in Vermont, and trying to stay in touch with his teammates.

Swarthmore College Athletics has been a home away from home for Marie Mancini who has been on the sidelines with Garnet since 1986. Mancini took over as the head athletic trainer in 2002 and recently transitioned to the role of director of sports medicine.

Jim Heller has been the head coach of Swarthmore College Golf since the 2005-06 season and has twice been named the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year. Heller also takes pride in the academic success of his team which in two of the past three years was honored for having the highest team GPA in all of Division III.

Swarthmore College 2017 grads Sam Lebryk and Steve Sekula roomed together for three years at Swarthmore, each won a Centennial Conference Championship in their respective sports the same week of their senior year, and are now working together to produce a card game called Gem Blenders, a fitting name for a game created by Garnet alumni.
