Howdy everyone, we live in wild times. Microsoft purchased Activision Blizzard for 68.7 billion doll hairs. So much to unpack about this, lots of concerns with a sprinkle cautious excitement for the employees that have been under the thumb of Bobby Kotick. Some new games to check out, Nobody Saves the World from Drinkbox Studios the makers of Guacamelee is fantastic and worth your time. We do not recommend Rainbow Six Extraction it is not a great Rainbow six game and a mediocre whatever genre it is.

Howdy, Quick impressions of a small indie roguelike Vampire Survivors, final impressions of FF7 Remake and The Gunk. RIP OG Halo 3 servers, 343 mentioned Halo Infinite updates, and Game Pass has some amazing games releasing this month. Playstation PSVR2 looks very promising if you are into VR. Shout out to Deep Rock Galactic for hitting 10M players. 

Thanks for making it this far with us. December has been pretty rocky with recordings and thanks for sticking it out. This is our Game of the Year episode. We do it a little different, this is not our profession and we are not made of money and time. We will try to stick to games that did come out this year but, we also include older games we finally got too. 

We are also trying out new recording platform and working out the kinks. You may notice technical blips. 

Merry Christmas to all, we have been away due to some traveling by some of us. We touch on some games each of us have been playing while away. Most importantly we dive into our thoughts on the Halo campaign and some ideas of what we would like to see beyond it.

Happy Thanksgiving y'all, We hope you enjoyed some good eats and mirth. Not much on the news front, we talked about a lot about Halo Infinite and how good it feels to play but still has frustrating elements that needs large improvements. We dive into more impressions of Battlefield 2042 and new impressions of Into the Pit and Before We Leave.

Halo Infinite Multiplayer is here with an early release. What do we like, don't like, what is coming up for it, and whats parts are a wait and see. We also gave some initial impressions of Pokemon Brilliant Pearl, Inscryption, and Dungeons of Ederra. Xbox released its final 70 backwards Compatible Games and amongst that also added FPS boost to more titles. Age of Empires 4 is working in collaboration with the University of Arizona for community content. Completing the content can also earn university credit, which is neat and cool to see education and gaming fuse. Rockstar made an apology and is giving early adopters of Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy copies of the classic PC versions and is going to bring back the Classic to the Rockstar store. Lastly, Dead Cells dropped a new free update that is a crossover DLC with Hollow Knight, Blasphemous, Skull, Guacamelee, Hyper Light Drifter, Curse of the Dead Gods. If you haven't played Dead Cells please do!

A lot of releases this week and they ain't all winners. We have some initial impressions of Ziggurat 2, Super Auto Friends, COD Vanguard, and Forza Horizon 5. 3 big releases this week, one being Forza Horizon 5 (which is fantastic), Battlefield 2042 (which has mixed feelings), and Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy (which is shitting the bed). We quickly talk about Steam Deck getting delayed till February of 2022 and Back 4 Blood being number 2 sales for October. Big rumor mill that Halo Infinite Multiplayer will release on November 15th for the Xbox and Halo CE celebration. Which if is true you will probably be aware since this episode was recorded prior. Lastly, big shout out to Deep Rock Galactic selling 3 million units and pushing out its largest update. If you have it on Steam the update is available. If you are on Gamepass or console you will have to wait till the 18th of November.

Light news week, Season 11 of Apex Legends is underway! We dive into the update and changes. Nintendo wants to do more films but will take their time making them. Congrats for Devolver Digital for going public last week and for Sony's stake in it. 

Happy Halloween! Short news week, but we do have some interesting topics. Firstly, some initial impressions of Age of Empire 4, Riftbreaker,  Ghostrunner, and Everspace 2. We check out the Halo Infinite campaign trailer and RIP Halo Xbox 360 servers. Reports/rumors of Sucker Punch developing Infamous sequel and not to mention, a possible Sly Cooper revival by unknown studio. Very exciting times for fans of those franchises. It's been reported Assassins Creed Infinity will not be free to play which is exciting. We hope you all had a great October and stayed safe, sane, and sanitary for Halloween.

Howdy! We kick off the episode with by cracking some drinks and we got a couple of bad ones. We played some new games and gave out some impressions of Fenyx Immortal Rising, more Far Cry 6, The Cycle Frontier, and Kingdoms and Castles. Into The Pit,  Echo Generation, and No Gunz are new indies that are coming to Xbox Game Pass that we are interested in. Nvidia is unblocking Microsoft's browser for GeForce Now. That means you can play Steam PC games via Xbox. We touch on upcoming games from Xbox for the rest of the year. Age of Empires 4 coming out end of the month, Forza 5 November 5th, and Halo Infinite December 8th. Both Advance Wars Remake and Elden Ring got pushed back to spring of 2022. More details on the GTA remasters, most importantly GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one while GTA III Definitive Edition will debut on PlayStation Now on December 7. Lastly, shout out to Children of Morta for raising $200k with its Paws and Claws DLC to support Humane Society International.
