We’re getting excited for an upcoming potential Taylor Swift appearance at the iHeart Radio Music Awards! Sam is adamant that he won’t be clowning for anything, but that doesn’t mean we both won’t be watching with anticipation! The episode goes off on a bit of a tangent about Taylor’s style and who exactly is behind her fashion choices. Then we discuss Travis Kelce’s potential retirement and what that may look like for us Swifties. Our New Shit segment had us both talking about the same album and artist: Lady Gaga and Mayhem! We both love this album so much and discuss our favorites from it. The song of the week has us praising and applauding Taylor for her genius! But, naturally, we dig a little deeper to reveal our theories on how this song is more than just being cheeky and revealing. Taylor Swift is a mastermind by hiding her anxious feelings about the unravelling of her relationship with Joe Alwyn. Let us know what you think about our thoughts!

Rachel has deemed this the "wackiest" episode ever, and she's not wrong. We hop around from topic to topic, with no particular order connecting them. We waste no time and get right into our "new shit," with Sam acknowledging he made a mistake by forgetting to mention Lady Gaga's upcoming album! The song of the week had us scratching our heads. What exactly is the spirit of I Think He Knows? We land on it having to do with confidence, whether that's confidence by Taylor or confidence by the subject of the song. Either way, we have a blast as always and we hope you, Swiggies, might be able to enlighten us. We just know there's a deeper meaning to this song than what appears on the surface.

And don't forget to leave us a review on Apple podcasts for a special shoutout in next week's episode!
We're not blushing.....YOU'RE blushing. Okay, so we're blushing a little bit. But this song just goes there! So, naturally, we do too. Maybe it's a little weird for two sibs to be talking about self love, but Taylor doesn't shy away from it so why should we? This song is SO much more than that, however. And we explore it all. But first, we discuss an upcoming plan for some future special episodes on our podcast. If you have any thoughts on previous episodes that you'd like to share with us, please email [email protected] or leave a comment under an episode on Spotify. We want to compile your thoughts and give you a special shoutout in a future episode!
This is one juicy episode! We start by exchanging Taylor Swift-themed food puns and scavenger hunt ideas. And although hilarious, Tay Tay, we're begging you, give us something to discuss! We both blow eachother's minds when we discuss our new shit. Sam gives a special shoutout, and Rachel waffles before finally settling on the new shit she was meant to discuss. Dolly Parton meets modern pop? Hell yeah! The cocktails come into play and Sam gets angry at Rachel for stealing his title. Which title is that? You'll have to listen to find out, but let's just say it has everything to do with a certain Bad Blood Eras Tour performance. Speaking of Bad Blood, the spirit is deep with this song. The lore behind this massive hit takes a while to dissect. And although we both agree the lyrics aren't particularly strong, the meaning and power behind this song signifies a massive success for Taylor. Sam loves it, Rachel feels meh. But that's what makes this smash hit song so fun!
Happy Valentine's Day! We hope this episode brings you life, laughter, and love. Taylor certainly brings those things with the song "Today Was A Fairytale." We discuss that song in its entirety, and we drink some bubbly and princessy cocktails, but not before discussing in length ALL the details of the past week. The Grammy's were a huge highlight of our year so far. And the Superbowl, although the game was quite boring, brought lots of discussion in the form of Taylor's appearance and Kendrick Lamar's performance. Speaking of Kendrick, we're both in our rap era right now as we discuss two rap artists in the "New Shit" segment. Then we get into our cocktails and discuss the song, however this song must be discussed in its context with the film Taylor made her acting debut in: "Valentine's Day." Cringey? Yes. Induldgent? You better believe.
Episode 2 of Season 3 and we are trucking along with all new guest stars. This week, we are so happy to have Sarah Langan join us for her choice of "So Long, London!" Sarah and Sam have been friends for a few years and have bonded over Taylor Swift many times over cocktails. What better guest to have on a podcast about Taylor Swift and cocktails? We take time to hear Sarah's Swiftie story and why "So Long, London" was Sarah's #1 song on Spotify last year. Thank you, Sarah (and Taylor), for sharing your vulnerabilities and speaking about the importance of recognizing your own strength within a struggling relationship. Taylor cuts deep with her lyrics in this song, and we are gratefeul she chose to share these intimate details about the downfall of her long-term relationship with Joe Alwyn. Another Track 5 in the books....what do you all think about this one? Be sure to leave your comments if listening on Spotify, or leave us a review on Apple Podcasts! We are back after a 6-week break and we are now entering season 3! Surprisingly, there wasn't too much Taylor content to catch up on, except for more potential Reputation TV clowning. Sam swears he's done clowning...but what exactly is the internet saying? And why has Taylor removed that album from her Spotify? As we approach the Grammy's, it's important we discuss new artists and songs that we are excited about. Be sure to tune into our "new shit" playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5LOn9LRJ8lnvnCbpl6fKVG?si=ee26a0c247fd45c5
We start to break down the song of the week, and we both agree that it's one of Taylor's BEST album closers of all time. Or is it the best album closer? Sam has thoughts on that. We both feel sad but uplifted when listening to this song. It's clear Taylor has been damaged from previous relationships, but nonetheless she remains positive and hopeful. We agree that it doesn't matter who Taylor is going on a date with, but rather, it's how she approaches it. And we're so proud of her.
Please join us for season 3 as we introduce new guests, new traditions, and new songs, surely.
100! Episodes! Can you believe it? Sam brought the noisemakers and decorations, Rachel brought the groans that accompany it. Just kidding.....we're both so incredibly proud of this podcast and we want to say a special THANK YOU to everyone for tuning in week after week. This podcast would never have reached 100 episodes if it weren't for you...so thank you!
Of course, we had to choose *the* best song to discuss for this momentuous occasion. Rachel confesses All Too Well (10) is her most favorite Taylor Swift song - actually....her most favorite song by any artist! Sam gets emotional over the realization that they're ACTUALLY breaking down the most important and iconic song in Taylor's catalog.
Cocktails were a'plenty. Sam couldn't come up with just one cocktail, so he created FOUR, which slowly get revealed throughout the lyrical analysis. Rachel matches him and comes up with all new cocktails on the spot! She's in her red wine era.
This is the longest episode we've ever released, but we hope you understand the importance this song has on us as Swifties and as podcast hosts. Please let us know your thoughts on today's episode by leaving a comment on Spotify or a written review over on Apple Podcasts. We will be taking a month-long break and we look forward to returning (and beginning again).
Well, the Eras Tour is over and Taylor has left us nearly speechless. In part because we are forever in awe over how special the Eras Tour was, in other part because we are deeply shocked and surprised that Vancouver was the most regular weekend ever. Sam isn't mad that Taylor didn't announce anything, he's just upset that she knowingly led us to believe we should clown for something. Either way, we spend a good portion of this episode discussing our thoughts on what it means now that the Eras Tour has ended. Then, we dive into our Spotify Wrapped, even though nobody asked for it. Sam takes a moment to thank all of you Swiggies who have been tuning in and helping us grow this podcast over the past year....THANK YOU! The New Shit segment brings Rachel back to her nonsensical Christmas vibes, and Sam gives a classic Taylor Swift song a spin. Then the laughs begin as we delve into a song originally written and released in 2007. The lyrics are funny, confusing, and joy-filled. Although we make slight fun of Taylor, it's all from love. Cheers to the birthday boy and cheers to the birthday girl!

Turns out we’re not okay with the Eras Tour coming to an end….but wouldn’t you know, Sam got his hands on the exclusive Eras Tour Book and you better believe we dive into it! And then we tap into the ultimate Taylor-On-Tour song! How are we crying already?! The way she took the meaning of this song from her band to her producer to us…the fans…! Wow, we are beyond words. Yet we still manage to pair some delicious cocktails and find the depth behind these meaningful lyrics. Now how do you beat the mashup she’s already performed?! Tune in to find out!
