Addicted by Design: How Big Tech is Wiring Young Brains and What We Can Do About It.
In the fourth episode of Narratives of Purpose's special series from the 2026 HIMSS European Health Conference, host Claire Murigande speaks with Marc Ritter, the CEO and co-founder of AWE Digital Wellness.
AWE Digital Wellness is the first online mental health platform specifically aimed at addressing internet and phone addiction in youth, teenagers, and young adults.
In this conversation, Marc unpacks the science behind smartphone addiction, digital burnout, and the mental health crisis quietly unfolding in the next generation. He shares how his own struggle with internet overuse led him to study neurobiological addiction patterns — and ultimately build a safer tech ecosystem for kids.
Claire and Marc also explore the dangers of unregulated AI (including the landmark Rain v. OpenAI case), and why simply banning social media for teens isn't enough.

A Trump Account, officially called a 530A account, is a new federal retirement account for children, funded by a $1,000 seed deposit for every eligible US citizen baby born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028. For US expat families, the eligibility rules and account-opening process raise questions the law doesn't answer yet.
Cross-border tax advisor Christie DuChateau, EA, of BNC Tax joins host Arielle Tucker, CFP®, EA to break down who actually qualifies for the $1,000 seed deposit, what it takes to open and fund one from outside the US, and where the process breaks down for parents with a foreign address or a child without a US Social Security number.
Christie and Arielle also compare notes from opening their own accounts, one through the Trump Account app and one through the web at trumpaccounts.gov, with different results for foreign addresses and phone verification. They cover how a Trump Account stacks up against a 529 plan, a UTMA, and a kids' Roth IRA, and explain why it may be one of the only ways for a US citizen child living in Europe to legally hold a US ETF.

She Came Ready
Joanna walked into session five with a list. "I have a lot of stuff." That's exactly what a coach wants to hear.
She was ready to move on to movement—nutrition felt handled. But Danna pulled her back for a moment. There was something in how Joanna talked about "falling off the wagon" with food logging. Was she disappointed because it actually helped her? Or because she felt like she should be doing it?
There's a difference between "I need to do this for me" and "someone told me I should." That distinction matters. If food journaling works for you, keep doing it. If it doesn't, let it go—no guilt required.
And then there's the real transformation: Joanna used to slump at 3pm, completely done. Now 5pm rolls around and she's surprised the day is over. That's not a small thing. That's her life back.
But here's Danna's concern: they're approaching the three-month mark. That's when life happens—vacations, holidays, birthdays. The honeymoon phase ends, routines get disrupted, and people convince themselves they've ruined everything. Without someone to pull you back and say "that was just a trip, let's get back to it," it's easy to spiral.
Joanna's killing it. But real habit change takes time—and one more session to go.
This is the debrief after session five of Joanna's health journey.

FAQ 1: "Do I need an integrator or do I just need to get better at managing my time?"
You don’t have a “time management problem” if your days are packed with decisions, questions, and fires that only you can put out. In this episode, Linda helps you figure out whether you need a better system, or a better structure.
What You'll Learn:
The Hook: Why “I just need to get more organised” is often a sign you’re carrying structural load, not just a messy calendar.
Reality Check: Time management only works when time is truly the constraint, not when everything routes through you.
The Shift: Productivity makes you faster inside the current system; an integrator changes the system so the work stops landing on you.
The Move: A quick diagnostic to tell time problems from structural problems:
The Wrap: If you’re filling gaps that structure should fill, the fix isn’t working harder on yourself. It’s working on the business.
Key Takeaway: If the structure is wrong, “getting faster” just means you hit the wall sooner.

Got 10 Minutes? What You Eat Is Messing With Your ADHD
Megan was TikToking, as one does, and landed on a video about food-induced ADHD symptoms. She immediately thought of Danna. Because obviously. Both certified ADHD-havers, both deeply invested in food — which basically makes them experts. This one's for anyone whose brain feels like it's running 47 tabs and someone just spilled coffee on the keyboard.
Whether you're diagnosed, suspicious, or just chronically scattered, the food-brain connection is real — and it goes way deeper than "eat less sugar."
What You'll Learn:
Megan has been secretly giving her husband decaf for years. He just found out. She has no regrets.

Why Women's Health Is the Investment Opportunity Investors Are Missing.
In the third episode of Narratives of Purpose's special series from the 2026 HIMSS European Health Conference, host Claire Murigande sits down with investment strategist Maryann Selfe, Founder of The Billion Dollar Blindspot.
With 25 years in institutional capital markets, Maryann brings a rare financial lens to a sector long underserved by research and funding. She shares how data gaps created by the systematic exclusion of women from clinical trials have distorted investment models — and why that's finally starting to change.
The discussion digs into the forces now converging to make women's health a compelling investment thesis: a massive demographic shift, the great wealth transfer, cultural change, and post-COVID technology breakthroughs. Maryann also introduces her platform, The Billion Dollar Blindspot, and her book of the same name — a practical guide for investors ready to enter the space.

Can you keep buying US ETFs after you move to Europe? Austin Davidson found out the answer is more complicated than it should be.
Most Americans moving to Europe don't realize that a regulation called MiFID II can quietly cut off direct access to the ETFs they've always used. She Feels It Now
Joanna messaged before the call: "I haven't kept up with it." Danna braced for bad news. But here's the twist—it was just the logging that slipped. The eating habits? Those stuck. She has energy. She's feeling the difference. That's the whole point.
Remember session one, when Joanna asked "How will I know it's working?" She wanted black-and-white proof, and Danna couldn't give it to her. Now she doesn't need proof. She feels it.
Food logging was never meant to be forever. It's a pain in the ass for two weeks, but the information you get from it can revolutionize how you understand your own body. We overlook what we do habitually—and if you don't draw attention to it, you'll never know it's the thing that needs to change.
Joanna thanked Danna. Danna's response? "I didn't cook your meals. I didn't keep your food log. You did all the work. Thank yourself."
That's the thing about coaching: it's your body. Your habits. Your changes. A good coach helps you listen—but you're the one who has to hear it.
This is the debrief after session four of Joanna's health journey.

Session 6: When Life Gets in the Way
It's the final session, and Joanna arrives with a grimace. Travel, illness, holiday chaos—the last month knocked her off course. The nutrition slipped. The exhaustion came back.
But here's the thing Danna wants her to see: the fact that she feels the difference now? That's the win. Her body has become her own accountability partner. She doesn't need Danna to tell her something's off—she knows.
This is the three-month wall. Everyone hits it. There's always a reason to slip: summer means ice cream, winter means soul food. The question isn't how to be perfect—it's how to get back on.
The tools for the road ahead: the five-second rule before every food decision. Meal prep reframed as "just tomorrow's meal" instead of an overwhelming weekly task. And when it all falls apart—because it will—take a breath and start again. Even if it's a month later.
This is the final session of Joanna's health journey.
