Switch Youth

We're entering into the next movement of the Sermon on the Mount. And it kicks off with what seems to be a contradiction. But, when we do the work of coming back to Jesus, we begin to see just how good, true, and beautiful His news really is.

You are more than you think you are. Your identity is not what others say about you—it’s what Jesus says about you. And when you follow Him, He invites you into a life more beautiful than you thought possible, into something so much bigger than yourself.

In a world where there's so many voices trying to tell us who we are and who we need to be, the invitation to who you were actually created to be is on the table today. Because Jesus is the Light of the World and He's inviting us to become like Him.And that's really good news.

The blessed life is rarely easy, but it’s always better. Jesus doubled down on this idea, saying that persecution leads to blessing. Can pushback produce resilience? Can pressure drive us deeper into God’s family? Let’s find out.

If we want to live the blessed life, it begins with believing in and becoming like Jesus. But who we become is a result of the choices we make every single day. Learn from Jesus why even our smallest choices matter more than we know.

We are continuing the conversation on the Beatitudes by looking at the next 3 blessings. These seem really different than the first series, and that's on purpose. Jesus wants us to know that God blesses us with His presence when we are in a negative state and also, He blesses us as we become someone with these positive traits.

Who is blessed? Those with money, power, and influence? Actually, what Jesus says, is the exact opposite. He says that the blessed are the poor in spirit, those who mourn, and those who've been humbled by the hardships of life. If that doesn't make sense, lean in with all your questions and doubts, because the Kingdom of God is better and more hopeful than you can imagine.

As we start breaking down the greatest sermon ever preached, we talk about the shocking way Jesus starts this message. What's so special about Jesus' introduction is that He's giving people a real, live picture of what God promised in the past coming to pass.
