There’s a natural human tendency to think we will have to pay for our sins because of our guilt. While there are consequences to our sins, the condemnation and judgment is removed from those in Christ. We can be set free from our sins because of Christ’s work on the cross. The Gospel provides the only perfect salvation of deliverance. 

In Genesis 50, we see the death of Jacob and the reconciliation between Joseph and his brothers. Despite what his brothers did to him, Joseph comforted them and spoke kindly to them. 

God is sovereign even when bad things happen. Despite our sins against God, He offers us forgiveness and undying love.
