WHY DO WE DO THAT?
We sing along to our car radios on the way to work, we sing along to our footy club’s theme song, we sing happy birthday to loved ones at parties. Yet there is something a little strange about standing in a room with a bunch of people you don’t know, and singing emotional songs to a God you can’t even see. For some reason, however, churches continue to do it! What if you don’t like singing? What if you have a horrible voice? What if you don’t like the style of music? What if it just makes you feel awkward? Why do it? Can’t we just skip that part? Plenty of people ask those very questions, and in our final week of our series ‘Why do we do that?’ we’ll be exploring some possible answers. We hope you can join us!
