Expounded Universe 294 – Smoggy Bottom Boys

Oh right, I just remembered that as much fun as Den and I-5 and laughing at Aurra Sing were, Jax Pavan is a dude what sucks. It’s all coming back. Yes, that’s right folks, welcome back to Coruscant Nights, the noir Star Wars. We’re meeting a few new to us names today. Even Piell, Nick Rostu, and of course Jax are all running around the bowels of the city planet having remarkably similar adventures, all things considered.

Movie Mastery – Kraven the Hunter (2024)

We return to the theaters to complete our grim duty of bearing witness to the slow and tragic mutilation of everything Spider-Man related that Sony shoves into the grinder.

Relationship Mastery 10

We did it! We got back on the mics. It’s the little podcast that maybe can! I bet we answer a bunch of listener questions and discuss fandom and sex stuff!

System Mastery 292 – Unbidden

Back to basics, some game you probably never heard of that we didn’t like. That’s the basic essence of the show, right? It has to come up sometimes. I’m talking about the show here because honestly I can’t think of much to say about this sort of generic “There are secrets in the world that you can’t learn about without going crazy” type game that isn’t already in the episode.

Movie Mastery – Ocean Drive Weekend (1985)

A listener’s recently deceased dad worked on this movie but don’t worry, they just did director of photography so they aren’t fully to blame for this turd of a 60’s nostalgia movie.

System Mastery 291 – Fastlane

Oh buddy you better believe we love it when the game has a weird alternative randomizing mechanic, and this thing is all about roulette. Yes, it straight up tells you at the start that you can use a digital one or even a dice based approximation, but for max results, you should get a roulette wheel. What else? Well, it’s a generic system besides the ruleset, so we go all in on that.

Expounded Universe 293 – Fatal Alliance Wrapup

Your burning questions! Answered! Our final thoughts on this book! Given! And the next book? Announced, baby!

Movie Mastery – Dragon Storm (2004)

Sci-Fi Channel trying to cash in on Reign of Fire of all things spent a million dollars on this with almost all of that going to the cost of dragon effects and pyrotechnics and none of it to lighting or sound equipment.

System Mastery 290 – Icarus

As we bring Sweater Weather to a close we are faced with the realization that we accidentally double-themed this month, since both of these games are explorations of civilizations over time, and in fact would make a pretty good double feature game night played together. Weird! Anyway, this is a little box set where you make a dice tower.

Movie Mastery – Runaway Nightmare (1982)

This 70’s movie that took so long to edit that it came out in the 80’s has no redeeming factors. A comedy without humor. An exploitation film without anything risqué. Grainy sound and fuzzy images that serve no purpose.
