Expounded Universe 263 – Wiping at Magister’s Terrace

And, as must happen in all these books when there’s like 40 pages to go, the action kicks into high gear. Anakin, Jabitha (are we sure) and Ke Daiv are in one ship, Shappa Farr and Obi-Wan in another, and all the while our petulant pal Raithe Seinar is up in space being lorded over by Tarkin. All in all, a good time, with a good moment even!

System Mastery 262 – Witch Hunt

What’s that upon the roof I hear? Could it be the pitter-patter of seasonally appropriate witch feet ‘pon my shingles? Why, ’tis! Blessed Ween to each and every! This year, it’s Ween 3: Season of the Witch, and yes I know this isn’t the third Ween, thank you very much. We’re starting our witchy run of RPGs with Witch Hunt, a game about Salem in 1692, so you know it’s gonna just be super tasteful, right?

Movie Mastery – Prisoners of the Ghostland (2021)

Nic Cage in a movie that seemed to be tailor made to have Nic Cage in it while simultaneously unsure of what to do with him.

Expounded Universe 261 – Crashing the Ke Party

Man it has been a JOURNEY to get this thing to air. The ship is built and Ke Daiv attacks, I don’t remember the rest.

System Mastery 261 – octaNe

Let’s examine a post-apocalyptic game with a penchant for low-budget outre 90s cinema styles, and a fairly simple core mechanic to boot. It’s octaNe, and it’s pretty interesting, even if I personally never wanna read about Six String Samurai ever again.

Movie Mastery – Star Leaf (2015)

A stoner horror movie that doesn’t attempt to even remotely be scary but also doesn’t lean into the stoner comedy aspect either. Just a big pile of nothing that wastes everybody’s time. Just like us!

System Mastery 260 – Star Wars Saga Edition

And I said GO!

If you’re wondering if we liked this game,

We liked this game,

It’s mostly fine,

But it could use some work.

Movie Mastery – Sinister Squad (2016)

A cash grab mockbuster of Suicide Squad about fairy tale villains fighting against the forces of Death. A sentence that makes this absolute boring turd sound way more interesting than it is.

Expounded Universe 260 – Great Balls on Fire

The shipbuilding begins! As Jabitha (that can’t be right) leaves our heroes at the gate of the great factory, they meet new characters just in time for Anakin to start making it weird. Meanwhile, Seinar hangs out on his ship, and we hear about the comic misadventures of Ke Daiv, currently trying to buy a Sekotan ship.

Expounded Universe 259 – Jabitha Hutt

In this episode Anakin meets a little girl roughly his age, Obi-Wan is bored enough to start getting crabby, and Raithe Seinar is just having big old sips of other people’s anger.
