Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC), is a specific, well-defined congenital deformity which primarily affects muscles of limbs resulting in secondary joint deformities causing muscle shortening restricted performance of passive extension and flexion in the affected joint or joints. It is suspected that AMC is related to decreased fetal movement during development (i.e. twin/multiple births) which can have a variety of different causes, including environmental factors.

Nevertheless, this episode is much more about solidarity, intersectionality, independent living and (of course) our #DLTV Family member Sukie Glick, than his nick-name. Suki, (a twin) continues to live independently as a full-time wheelchair user who provides advocacy and support at disABILITY LINK where the criteria for Independent Living is based on the Social Model vs. Medical Model.
