Rev Dr Goh Seng Fong’s Mothers’ Day special sermon at Tabernacle Baptist Church SIngapore reflected on Mary as the exalted one—a woman who received God’s word with unwavering faith, professing, “Be it unto me according to thy word” (Luke 1:38). God, always perfectly on time, chose Mary to bear Christ after 480 years of silence. Her faith asked “how,” not “why.” Though she bore lifelong shame, she surrendered to God’s will. Like Mary, we must trust God’s timing. The Holy Spirit is already in our midst—therefore let the church reveals Christ through collective confession of faith, heeding His calling in obedience.
