Some great notes came out of this morning’s meditation and current spiritual readings…  Specifically, “Why am I so afraid to look upon everything, everybody, people, with love?”   And I think that’s a great question… 

Episode notes:

At the end of my journaling at night the very last thing I write down is “God forgive me. What are my corrective measures?”  Usually there is nothing to forgive per say…  Usually the corrective measure of late have been, “keep pressing forward, baby steps, keep trying, keep at it.”  This is in regards to the coaching process, the summit. 

The last couple of nights there was this shift to “Just Be”, you don’t need to be fearful, you don’t need to succeed in this process.  You don’t need to be fearful of it and there is no succeeding or failing.  Just be in the process, just be in it, and be peaceful.  And I love that.  It’s a fun little shift.

In my notes, from my A Course In Miracles work form the morning…  It’s interesting as I’m righting down thoughts perhaps outside of the ACIM content. 

“Why am I so afraid to look upon everything, everybody, people, with love?”  “Why am I so afraid to look upon people with love?”  And I think that’s a great question… 

Because there are some people where there is a tension point.  “I will NOT look upon them with love!”  Because why?  What am I loosing by doing that?  What ground am I giving?  What am I sacrificing?

The bigger sacrifice is by not looking upon everybody with love.  It’s the sacrifice to ultimate piece of mind…  The more I’m willing to look at everybody with love…  I do a lot of zoom meetings and have a lot of opportunities to be irritated.  I don’t really have enemies, but who am I competitive with…

Do the summit without fear, in the moment there is no success or failure.  There is success in failure. 

It is going the way it has already gone. I get to be and watch.  Again with the Joe Dispenza line of thinking.  It’s already going down!  Some people think things have already happened.

Again the idea that there is success in failure.  And learning is good.  And being a beginner is good if I can let go of the old dog…

There is an illusive thought flying around “the invites are forgiving”.  I don’t need to take it/myself so seriously.  Have fun, help people, be free.  HELP PEOPLE BE FREE.  And that’s the fun part right there :).

Just be.  Don’t worry.  So good.  I see that I have a fear, and more than I want to admit, “What am I going to look like if only 4 people commit and I did a 4 person summit?”  How would everyone judge, how would I judge myself… 

That’s all illusory, there is so much love out there for me.  Those are not things to worry about even.  That’s silly.  They are floating away.

…again if can’t work on it till noon.  Don’t worry about it till noon.  Stay in the moment.

I’m hesitant to keep talking about my process with the summit and my process with it because I’m not sure what it offers or brings to the table for you.  Is it meaningful?  And of course more about the summit and inspired 2nd and 3rd round email invite ideas…  And a re confirmation that I’m all in and this summit is going down.

Dr Nirdosh Kohra Said yes…  So I have my second firm commitment.  He focus’s on German New Medicine.  Anthony Trucks does personality profiles.  Specifically identity.  I took Anthony’s little online test and it was awesome…  And it helped me. 

I got another “give me more details, how many followers, what’s your reach?” email…  I’ll respond as soon as my speaker invite page is done.  Everybody’s combined reach will be amazing! 

It will be fun to pull all those desperate audiences together and teach to them and to learn.

i continue to get my invites out and baby stepping it everyday.  Sometimes big steps. 

I was hesitant or nervous to continue talk about the summit and my process with it because I’m not sure what it offers or brings to the table for you.  Is it meaningful for you?  I don’t want to bore you.

I’m hopeful it is inspiring, the perseverance, the willingness to try new things, the willingness to fail.  I’m hopeful that it brings value in that regard. 

I’m reaffirming the point that I’m all in.  If 4 speakers commit or 30 speakers commit this thing is going down, it is going to happen.  Previously I had it in my mind I could still back out if there were only 4 speakers or “not enough”.

Writing the copy for the speaker invite page…  I had this moment.  It took me a few hours to keep the copy down.  The panic came in “I don’t have 6 months to get the copy together I’ve got 3 hours!”.  It cannot take as long as the summit headline.  “God I need your help and I need to see this new eyes…”  and it worked.

In a perfect world I’d of had the speaker invite page together so that when I was sending out the speaker invites it would point them to that page, my smiling face, a video that explains everything, makes it more efficient.  In a perfect world I’d have had that done first.  I’m still sending out invites until the speaker page is done.  When the speaker page is done I’ll go back to the original invites and say check out the page!

The third email will be “Speakers are committing”  Jump in and join us!   

I hope this inspires you to try new things, to have perseverance, to take risks, to put it out there a little bit.

I answer all the questions to my simple goals for the summit.  And it’s pretty awesome.   I’m definitely making progress, having fun, and getting closer to the G. O. D.

I’m going to talk about this list of my simple goals for the summit.  Bill O and I came up with it.

Break even.  - Up to this point I haven’t spent much money on it yet :).  I do have 37 invites out at this point!  I responded to some replies with “Loom” videos.  Cool tech to personalize responses.  and (What else got done today…)  I started working in earnest on my speaker invite landing page “hello video”.  Gives speakers a chance to RSVP.  I started up on some home yoga again today.  A full year of walking and no yoga and my body is like…  “Start again!”

Help a few people. - By me taking actions, people are being helped by what I’m doing.  It is helping inspire other people to take actions.  I published Dom’s episode on this day and I was just crying with joy.  It was weird.

Learn the ropes. - Absolutely I am learning the ropes of the summit.

I’m going to find out pretty quick if this is it for me? Is it fun? - Although the process has been incredibly painful I am having fun and it is fulfilling.  Today I realized I have to be comfortable with four speakers…  More will be revealed.  I committed, no hedging anymore.  

Is it bringing me closer to God? - Before I said plain Jane “no!”.  But guess what, it is brining me closer to God.  It’s forcing to look at my fears, to look within.  To shed my fears, to shed my illusions.  It is actually bringing me closer to god.

Or is it pulling me away from God?  It feels like it is pulling me away from god but it’s not.  I’m digging in and talking to source and asking questions and facing my fears and shedding the ego.  And eating an elephant one bite at a time.  And it all could be for not!  There could be no shiny object at the end of the rainbow!

Is it fulfilling?  Yes it’s fullfilling.  I am truly having fun.  It is fun sending out invites, making the video the videos…  Getting responses.   I’m getting better at looking for people to invite.

Is it helping others? Yes.  Hopefully when the thing is done it will have an impact.  But it just might be my process.

Is it a good place to put my efforts?  More will be revealed.  It seems like it…

I’m closer to source as I battle the ego and the ups and downs of my creative process.

I give you the definition of “Screen Freeze”.  It is a term we used back in my commodities broker days, as it relates to the speculative markets in the world, and it effectively keeps you from taking action.  And I was feeling some of that recently.  I also dig through some old notes and see the progress and positively answer some of the questions I had written down.  Watch out for the dogma!

So involved with the summit in a good was.  All in fully committed.  Creating introductory  videos to speakers on loom.  The main thing is committing to sending out the emails.  I have an interview set up so it is happening.

I had some “screen freeze” today.  Thats what we called it back in my commodities brokers days.  You needed to have transactions to generate revenue.  It’s highly highly speculative.  Customers had to have “Vegas Money”.  

So “Screen Freeze”… I got paid when people executed trades, placed bets, took risks and were involved in the action.  When a commodities broker would get screen freeze they would get fixated on the charts and the ticks, like the stock ticker going up and down, they would freeze looking at the screen.  So they wouldn’t take action, they wouldn’t make the calls to customers, they wouldn’t make the recommendations, they wouldn’t place trades.  They would be frozen by the screen.  

When you're working, or you’re entrepreneurial, or you’re needing to be creative you can get screen freeze where you don’t take action.  And the fear of taking action stops you so you plan…  For me today it was, I’ve got to quit studying and take action…  Get those personalized videos out.  I broke through, I’m through that creative hump…

Gary Vee quote, “Fall in love with your process and not the trophies that come from your process.”  

The trophies that come from your process can be looks, likes, subscribers.  Or the financial trophy.

Purpose of this podcast was really to tell you about a day I had, on 3/28/21…  That day I came out of this ridiculous meditation, I took notes, did ACIM…  This is what I downloaded.  This is the prayer I wrote down “God who would you have me bring on this summit?”, God, what would you have me call this summit?”, “God how would you have me use this summit to serve your purpose?”, “God who would you bring in to help me do this summit (the who’s)?”, “God would you have me do this summit?”, “God, the timing?”…  “Yes, Yes I would.” “Don’t fear the ego my son.”

This is sounding a bit dogmatic but hey it was A Course In Miracles Moment…  Think of a non dogmatic god. LOL.

Don’t fear the ego…  smile at him. He is not real…  “It will unfold to my timeline.”  “It is unfolding as I see fit.  You just get to enjoy (the ride).”  You being me of course.

“It has already happened”…  Joe Dispenza’ish…  

“God who would you have me bring on this summit?” - That is happening now.  The invites are going out and people are responding.

God, what would you have me call this summit?” - The tools for a good life summit.

“God how would you have me use this summit to serve your purpose?” - We will see!

“God who would you bring in to help me do this summit (the who’s)?” - Potential who’s are coming and going…

That day was so powerful, because although the turmoil was not done…  It was a definite turning point.  The summit name became clear and I shifted from obsessing on the headlines.  A springboard to this point.

You’ve been privy to much of the banter between Lisa and I via this podcast…  So I went ahead and gave her the complete update here :).  It strikes me as kind of weird all of a sudden.  But in the spirit of “I recorded it so it gets published” here you go.

Checking in with my friend Lisa Randall.  25 invites out.  1 yes, some maybes, and some no’s.  It’s like high school dating.  

Still fully committed to the Course In Miracles.   Currently very much about letting go of the attachment of the idea of sin, guilt, death, and vengeance.  Those are they obstacles to peace.  They are the veil to peace.  

The fear of death…  It’s so hidden so deep in so many of us and we don’t even acknowledge it.    And I love that thought…  Thinking of it in terms of what it was like, what happened, and what it’s like now…  What it is like now is I contemplate the idea of death, the illusion of death, the fear of death and all these things.  Is it buried so deep that it isn’t even acknowledged.  

I recap the jogging fan story…

Waylon graduates from high school in a month and a half…   That’s a big reminder of the eternal change of life for me.  Now both kids will be out of high school.  It’s a marker per divorce paperwork for a lot of official responsibilities ending.  The man freedom that I thought that was gonna come from this day is an illusion.  

And I said hi to a girl :).  That’s a big development for me :).

Life is good I’m having fun…  Messy action.

Anthony Trucks is an ex NFL player turned serial entrepreneur and shift and identity specialist.  He is the leading expert in shifting, which is making a shift internally to elevate how you operate externally, which in turn changes your life.  His system is called “The Shift Method” and I interviewed him for the “2011 Tools For A Good Life Summit”.   This is a preview of his interview for the Summit.  

On this clip we talk about his stint in the NFL, what it’s like to play in a game that requires you to be the best in the world, “the NFL is an interesting beast”.  “It’s the highest level in the world”  “It’s cutthroat” “It’s ruthless” “It’s demanding at levels that are beyond human typical logic.”

“I’ve got to the point of realizing in life that the beauty is in the difference.  What is good for me isn’t good for everybody else.  I’m not a good fit for everybody and that’s ok.  IF you can get to that point it alleviates so much more stress and anxiety and weirdness that happens in life”.

He tells about a couple of his 50,000 person stadium moments where he was playing for Oregon and he makes the crowd cheering plays of a lifetime…  One in his senior year where he was leading the Pac 10 in all the key defensive stats…  

He was very delated after his NFL career suddenly ends…  And he relates that to loosing a sense of your self…

Had to clean up my emails…  It had gotten jammed up so I created some filters to move emails to certain folders.

I was hopping to get the speaker invite page done…  Which answers many of the speakers questions…  But did not get it done…  So get to keep doing it via email :).

On my walk today a crazy jogger stares me down and yells “You’ve got that podcast!”  Uh Oh, yes I do…

Got my second covid shot so perhaps I’m going to be a flesh eating zombie with the rest of the covid shot havers.  Supposedly we are gonna be genetically modified someone text me…

So I went to 7-11 unusually…  To get my son a Bang energy drink.  Energy drinks are nasty.  The line was crazy long.  10 or 11 people.  So I had ten minutes to look around 7-11 while I was waiting in line.  It is all gross ass junk food, alcohol, and toxic energy drinks.  Maybe a bubbly water and a banana or two…

It is not the Covid that’s gonna going to turn us into the flesh eating zombies it’s gonna be the people that are hanging out at 7-11.  God bless you if you like 7-11.  I have a couple friends who are active participants at 7-11… 

And I only got 3 new intro emails off today, but I am avg 5 invites per day.  I’m def gaining ground.

The hard work is starting to pay off.  Speakers are starting to respond to the email invites…  Keep eating the bites of the elephant.  Welcome on board Anthony Trucks!  And “the who” says “no” which is a big two steps back…  But there is obviously something I need to learn.

If you could only see the wings of my hair sticking out from my head phones.

Gonna talk about.  1) Future tripping.  Stay in the moment.  You don’t need to worry until x time.  And 2) two steps forward one step back in regard to who.

Future tripping.  I need to dial the moment into tiny next steps within the hour type staying in the moment.  Don’t worry about the summit until after I’m done eating for example…

The great news is, I’ve gotten out 22 invites…  I’ve committed to doing 5 a day, so 4 days in a row. 

The answers are starting to come back.  I’ve gotten a “Yes” from Anthony Trucks…  Your identity and personality profiles to help you as a tool for doing good things.

I’ve gotten “I want more information pease” replies…  Stay in the moment, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and start panicking… 

All the work I’ve put into reaching out, the answers are starting to come back.  I have a vision that the master plan can come together.  Stay in the moment and do the next indicated step.  Don’t panic, breath.

The two steps back is the who…  My who had a delay in answering me…  So to cover my bases I shopped around, he saw, and decided to take other business.  The point is I don’t need that who today, or for a couple of weeks, so there is no need to panic :).  Perhaps there is more to learn in this regard.  Perhaps I need to learn how to shop around and learn how to communicate with “the who’s”. 

I’m working hard to stay in the moment, trust the process, keep eating the bites of the elephant.  Continue to send out the summit speaker invite emails.  How amazing is that that people are responding, it’s coming together.  Thank you coaches everybody for support.

I took a bunch of notes after this mornings' mediation.  So I go ahead and go down the list as I record in the evening.  There’s some fun stuff in there.

Good evening!  I took notes this morning after my mediation.  Here’s my episode reading my notes from the morning mediation.

• The insecurity about what I’m doing with the podcast.  As far as finding my voice…  I don’t feel like I’m any closer to “Finding my voice”.
• The Visionary thing.  I’m not sure what my vision is but that’s ok.
• WTF am I doing?  Quality is subjective.  Document don’t create.
• As I’ve prioritized the summit.  It feels like the podcast has taken second fiddle.
• The blissyness of meditation.  The last couple of mediations have been awesome.  I felt my brain make the conscious shift to the 4th dimension.
• Man is it all merry right now?
• Talk the world about your process and what you’re going through rather than the advice I think I should be giving you.  (Gary Vee)
• Building your building and helping others build there’s up at the same time…  (Gary Vee)
• It’s funny; sometimes I’m talking to you, and sometimes I’m talking to me.
• I’ve got to move all my stuff from the Zoom cloud to the local drive.
• It takes me an hour to do an email; it’s insane.  (I’ve got 17 invite emails out)
• Pulling myself up from my bootstraps no longer worked.
• How many friends are enough friends?  How much adoration is enough adoration?  I have a good life.
