A full recap of the King of the Ice Mountain Tournament using Hockey Blast by Plaay Games and a preview of three new games at Tabletop SportCast headquarters is the main focus of today's episode. I also provide of recap of my tabletop week and discuss some more project planning ideas.

Today's episode is a special recap from my tabletop of the 1940 AL Replay project. The Boston Red Sox in Chicago for a doubleheader. Joe Heving v Ted Lyons in Game 1 and Bill Fleming v Johnny Rigney in Game 2. Both teams are fighting to get back into the AL race with only 2 weeks remaining in the season.

This week I explore the question of historical replays versus fictional universes and all the different possibilities in between. We'll dive into alternate sports, historical players, home brew rules, and various league structures.

With my 2020-21 NHL cards arriving from Plaay Games today, I played my assigned opening round game for the New York Rangers at ST. Louis Blues. This is an annual tournament hosted by Plaay Games to kickoff the release of the previous year's NHL card set.

I talk about the different approaches I take to getting the immersion effect on my tabletop. It's all about recreating an experience you remember, and there are lots of tools that can help you accomplish that. My approach varies by sport and I walk you through some of them to discuss what works and doesn't work for me.
