Tabor Church

Today we are going to take a look at Philippians 2:5-8. We often stuff our lives with what we perceive as good things, only to find it doesn't add life. We are going to reflect on the Philippians passage to see what we can learn from Jesus.

Today we are hearing from Jesus in the Gospel of Luke 18:9-14. There is a Pharisee and there is a tax collector and they are praying. Jesus gives us a glimpse of two different perspectives and only one of them will walk away justified. You guess which one?

Sometimes in life we get stuck trying to figure out life. Does God only have one chosen path for us to walk? What is right or what is good? Today we are going to take a look at Micah 6:8. This is gives a good idea of what God wants from us.

Today we explore some verses that I brought up yesterday in our new series. Jeremiah 17:9-10 talks about the human heart. We like to say "Follow your heart!" but that can lead us to places that we'll end up finding hurt or giving it out. Check your heart!

To finish out the week we are going to visit Psalm 34:18-20. This chapter and the one previous are really trying to hammer home the point that God is near to His people. David will once again in this section give us some insight into this one thought.

Today we are taking a look at Romans 8:20-23. We will focus in on the creation portion of those verses. Creation is a gift for us to take care of and steward well, but we have not always done the best job of caring for it. We should want to have conversations about it.

Today we talk about all the ways that God prepares us as God works through us. God has been preparing Tabor Church for a work that we are still trying to figure out and put together. We know that God will do this work...so give us eyes to see and ears to hear.

Today we are not hitting a random verse. I have a wedding today so I figured it would be good to visit the text that I will be preaching on. It is often used at weddings but it is not specifically a wedding text. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 is what we will discuss today, enjoy!

Today we are going back to 1 Chronicles 16:7-13. David leads the people in a song of praise to God. We gives thanks to God and proclaim God's greatness. God is great! Even more tragedy has fallen on our world but it doesn't take away from the greatness. God's ways are not our ways.

Today we are going to take a look at Matthew 11:28-30. I think we all need to hear these words over and over again, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." We need to stop working for love and rest in God's grace.
