Tabor Church

How do followers of Jesus present themselves to the world? We are called to be Good News bringers, but people don't often get anything good from us. We are going to take a look at Colossians 4:2-6 and see what Paul tells us concerning our conduct with those who do not follow Christ.

Today we are going to spend some time looking at Ephesians 2:8-10. Salvation is a gift received by faith so that no one can boast or brag. But what comes after that?

Yes, I am going to address my feelings on another school shooting. This is the second largest in our history and it should not fall back into a secondary story a few weeks from now. Followers of Jesus, we need to put on the mind of Christ and seek the best for neighbors and communities. Right now, this is not our best.

Today we are going to Philippians 2:3-11. Paul starts off with, "Don't be selfish..." That should be enough for us to know that God doesn't want us to be selfish. But, much of what Paul says go against our very nature. We'll need a little more than that. Take a listen

Today we focus on Luke 11:9-13. If you only read these verses, you could form a theology of God being a Cosmic Genie that grants wishes. We are going to talk about these verses and discover how we should be reading these verses.

Today we are going to explore Ezekiel 36:25-27. There is much to explore and so we look at original audience and then also look forward from Ezekiel to Jesus and see if it sounds like something he said. Hope you enjoy!

Today we are in 1 Corinthians 1:4-9. Paul thanks God for the Church in Corinth even thought they have problems. Paul reminds them that they have everything they need. I think this is a good message for all churches today, as we often think about all the things we don't have.

Hey there followers of Jesus, this is another for you. John 15:12-17 is where we are landing today. Jesus gives a command that we often turn into a suggestion; Love One Another. This is never easy, which is why Jesus says, "Love each other in the same way I have loved you." It is going to take sacrifice.

I decided to take a turn and just pull up some random passages to talk about. Of course random passages are never random with God. Ephesians 4:1-6, Paul has some real words for the church. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit. There is a lot to strive for.
