Tabor Church

Today is the Wednesday of Holy Week and there are a bunch of different names for it. The Catholics call it Spy Wednesday, but there is also Silent Wednesday and Good Wednesday. We are going to zero in on the Spy part of the day, as we focus on John 13:21-30. Let's see what we can learn.

Today we are wrapping up the week with a look at John 10:31-42. Religious folks out trying to kill Jesus. Jesus gets sarcastic with them and points out their hypocrisy. It is a good thing for us to sort through today as well.

We spend a lot of time thinking and believing that our group is the best and correct, which means others are automatically incorrect. Jesus says we should live in peace with each other.

That is the phrase that sometimes goes trough our heads when we come across something that we either don't understand or don't like. Today we are gong to take a look at the disciples not understanding or not liking a statement from Jesus in Mark 9:30-32. Instead of finding a way out, let's sit with it.

Today we are closing out the week with a look at Mark 9:33-37. The disciples are arguing who is the greatest among them. Of course they don't want to tell Jesus that they are talking about that. Jesus flips our economy of greatest to least upside down. It's time to humble ourselves  and serve others.

Today we are going to take a look at Mark9:14-29. I believe we encounter a grumpy Jesus in the text. The disciples didn't do their job and now Jesus is confronting an angry evil spirit. Jesus will of course of win out, but the father of the boy has seen his son suffer a lot and he wants to believe all is possible but wants help in his unbelief. Where do you need help in unbelief?
