Today we are exploring Matthew 18:21-35. This deals with the issue of forgiveness. I know that this is a complicated issue with many. I will not be able to cover the scope of this in 10 min. It is important to tackle the issues in your own life of not forgiving- both yourself and others.

Today we will take a look at Luke 13:1-9. We will break it down into two sections; 1-5 and then 6-9. They work together well and Jesus is the real master teacher. Jesus uses two stories of tragedy in the headlines to talk about urgency. We'll break it down today.

Today we are going to take a look at Matthew 21:33-46. I have talked with some builders and asked them about the cornerstone...They say, "Nope, it's not used anymore." We have moved beyond the need for the cornerstone in our building process. Is that the same way we have move beyond Jesus? He was good for a time or good for a teaching, but we must progress. We are going to talk about that today.

Today we are going to explore Matthew 23:1-12. Jesus spends the whole of chapter 23 calling out the hypocrites, Pharisees and religious leaders. Jesus tells the people, "Practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don't follow their example." Saying one thing and doing the opposite. That had to hurt. Where are you living hypocritically in your life?

For Lent we are going to take a look at some of the daily readings and see what connection they have. Today we are looking at Deuteronomy 30:15-20 and Luke 9:22-25. Moses in Exodus talks about choosing Life or Death. The way of God is life and the way of self is death. Jesus in the Gospel says that we need to give up our lives and follow him daily. It is the way of life.

Today is the last day of Black History Month. I'm not sure why we have to fit it all in one month but for a people who were not recognized for so long as having any contribution we must start somewhere. Today we are going to highlight a few voices from our history; GEORGE LIELE, PHILLIS WHEATLEY and MAHALIA JACKSON. There are so many more, so please go and do a study on the history of Black voices in the Church.
