Today we are going to talk about Luke 2:41-52, which is still closely related to the Christmas story. Jesus is around the age of 12 and Jesus' parents assumed he was in the large group traveling with them. We know what happens when we assume, right?

Happy New Year! Today we are going to talk about Matthew 2:13-15. This is the death of the innocent and Jesus needing to escape before Herod went on murder spree. Joseph once again has to trust what God has told him in a dream. With 2023 we can learn a lot about trust.

Today we are taking a break from Advent themes. It is the longest night of the year and it is officially Homeless Persons' Memorial Day. Many times people on the street die without most people knowing their name or if they are gone. Each one has a name and an identity. Let's take a moment to recognize that today.

This is the week leading up to Christmas. What do you want for Christmas? In this consumeristic culture, most of the stuff we want is exactly that...stuff. We are going to 1 Samuel 1:9-18 today and hear about what Hannah longs and desires for. We need to explore the desires of our hearts.

Today we are going to look at Romans 15:4. Paul takes a bit of a detour as he quotes a passage from the Old Testament and then talks about why the Old Testament is still important. Let us not abandon the Old for the sake of the New.
