This is a continuation of our last episoide..... We've been seeing those ridiculous articles about white Instagram models presenting themselves as black or mixed-race women to gain followers & we were perplexed. Then Black Chyna is now backing a skin lightening cream called "Whitenicious" (wtfff) that she is selling for $250 a bottle & it's being marketed toward darker skinned, particularly black, women. Why? Why is it that it's okay for white women to now wear cornrows when black women have been told for ages that those styles are not professional or even beautiful? Is it now a trend to "be black"? While all that is happening you still have black women learning how to love themselves FOR being black. But you still see european ideals forced upon women of color, to the extent that skin whitening creams are still being sold in 2018. Where does one draw a line on EITHER side? The world is getting weird, y'all. Part 2 coming up next!
