Travel writer Brianne Miers joins this discussion on the key difference between journalism and content creation today. When you look for a holiday package, where do you turn first? A traditional publication with strict editorial guidelines, or a content creator who can go live in 30 seconds? One is bound by ethics, whilst the other is driven by algorithms.
Miers breaks down the line between journalism and content creation. The key differences and who you can actually trust.

The European Union has fully rolled out the EES—the Entry-Exit System. But if you’ve actually travelled through Europe in the last few weeks, as I have done, you know the truth. It isn't exactly a stroll. It’s absolute chaos.

In this episode, we focus on Sara Minkara's travels as a blind person. We also spoke about becoming the 2nd and, at the time, the last Special Advisor on International Disability Rights at the White House when Joe Biden appointed her. Abelism, Islamophobia, and rhetoric having an impact on narratives were discussed.
We also spoke about closer to my home, and her thoughts on Sir Jim Ratcliffe claiming that "Immigrants have colonised the UK".
We of course spoke about what it is like to travel with a disability, as she is blind. What can be done to improve travel for individuals, whether that's airports or businesses?
👉More on Sara Minkara:
Created the Disability Foreign Policy Playbook and advanced disability priorities across major global forums, including the G7, APEC, ASEAN, and C5+1. Sara is the founder and principal of In the Dark, a blindfolded experiential methodology that accelerates decision-making, strengthens communication, and builds high-trust leadership cultures.
A graduate of Wellesley and Harvard’s Kennedy School, Sara’s work has been recognised by
Forbes 30 under 30, the Clinton Global Initiative, Vital Voices, and the MIT IDEAS Award.
