A former Hooters Girl of the Year and well known makeup artist sits down with me today on Take Five. No Filter. Morgan was one of our winners of our Wonderful Women of Wichita contest - and it is no surprise as to why. She is kind, she is thoughtful, she is funny, and she is REAL. I thought I knew a lot about Hooters before this interview, but we learned a lot more! Morgan found her confidence through the Hooters organization, she traveled the world because of Hooters, and she just came home from a wedding in South Africa that was for a former Hooters friend!

Get ready to meet a woman that has overcome more than most in her lifetime - Felecia Gussman was once a busy manager of a well known country club when her life turned completely upside down. Her health journey has not been an easy one, but it is one she has grown used to dealing with over the past 6 years. Yes, we touch on the life changing moments, but we also focus a lot on what life was like after. We also discuss what life looks like for her today, what she wants people to know and learn about, and what her plans are for the future. 

No one has an easy go at life - everyone has their ups and downs, but unfortunately, most are not empathetic to the others' journey. If nothing else - I hope you listen to this episode and recognize that everyone has their own battles they are dealing with. When you get the opportunity to listen to someone like Nina - you should take advantage of it. On today’s episode of Take Five. No Filter. I sit down with Nina, the owner of Tissu Sewing Studio. Her story is fascinating but her outlook on life is what is the most inspiring. If everyone could look at the world like Nina does we would be in a much happier place. She chooses gratitude, slow fashion, and intentional time. It is what led her to leave the high paced fashion world in San Francisco and start her own sewing school for kids here in Wichita. 

She takes pride in teaching her students how to find the joy in working with your hands, and learning something new. She spends her days pouring these thoughts and lessons into youth here in Wichita, and I am eternally grateful for that.
