Take sth to heart

 To take something to heart means to be deeply affected by it — emotionally or personally. It can be positive, like taking encouragement seriously,
 or painful, like feeling hurt by someone’s words.

Examples:

1-  When her mentor said, “Believe in your voice,” she took it to heart — and began writing again.
2-  Many people took the leader’s message to heart and began working together for peace.
