As the crew of BOAC Flight 911 tried to get closer to give their passengers a better view of Mount Fuji on March 5, 1966, disaster suddenly struck, and the 707 fell in pieces back to earth. Following the crash, investigators would discover an unknown and invisible phenomenon that we understand today, but that in 1966, literally tore a passenger jet out of the sky.
