We are beginning to focus on the holiday of Christmas trying to highlight why it is so special.  God provides the world with the greatest gift it could ever hope to receive and that is stated in multiple places within the Bible.  The strange part is that even though we hear it and can understand what it is saying, we still find it difficult to accept because it sounds too good to be true.  I think we have all felt that feeling before but that is where the idea of a gift comes into view.  When someone gives us gifts, we all know that means and the same is true with God too.  

Our attitude matters and that is especially true with Thanksgiving coming up.  In this episode we used the story of Cain and Abel to help us see just how important this is not only in our day to day lives but also with how we view God.  We all have so much to be thankful for and must see it and offer God heartfelt thanks and gratitude during this holiday season and beyond.  

In this episode we are going to take a closer look at the closing verse in Genesis chapter 3 which contains a reference to something that we might have heard before and seen through many different portrayals and depictions not all of which are accurate though and that can create problems.  It will require us mentioning a little something about angels today with this being a fun topic and one that sparks our imaginations too but at the same time we must strive for accuracy.  The term cherubim, is one that we might be somewhat familiar with but is what we know about them Biblically sound?  That is what we are going to focus on today among other things.  

In this episode we take a closer look at what is described in the 105th Psalm.  Control is an issue we all contend with in our lives, but we must reach the point where we understand the One that is actually in control.  This is a scary thought but when we begin to understand then we begin to feel a sense of calm come to us knowing that this One is more than capable and that is wonderful news.  

In this episode we continue with what we have been covering dealing with the Fallout after the man and woman fell from a state of innocence and grace.  They would go on to experience consequences but even in the midst of these difficulties they would also receive incredible blessings and with that we are taught an amazing lesson.  We deal with pain and suffering throughout our lives but if we stay the course and go through it then on the other side when it is said and done, we receive the gift in the form of a wonderful blessing being.  It is worth it and that will come through this show.  

In this episode we will pick up where we left off in Episode 9 seeing how we all face adversity and trouble here in this life.  It is not out of the ordinary and we can face it and even overcome those trials, but there are times where we might not know what to do and reach the place where we need help.  This is something we all encounter sometimes and that is ok.  There is nothing wrong with needing help.  In fact, we are in luck because God has given us help in the form of His Word.  Today we are going to try to offer some insight into where we can turn in order to receive this most amazing wisdom that is meant for our own good.  

A we live our lives we must understand that we are not living in the world spoken of in Genesis 1 & 2, which was a time of perfection where nothing bad could happen.  No, we are living in what happened in Genesis 3 which shows how the man and woman fell and once that happened it ushered in the time that we now know even though we still want to live as if we are in chapters 1 & 2.  This becomes a problem because when we have an idea or expectations and preconceived notions of how things should be or go, when we come to the reality it is much different.  Many times, we dream of things going right and never do entertain the possibility of something going wrong, but we need to know that adversity is built into the life we now live and it will find us no matter what we think and that needs to be accepted so we can begin to learn how to deal with it and much more.  

We are going to spend a little time focusing on "needs," vs. "wants," in this episode which is not a fun topic to address but is a crucial one.  So many times, in our lives chaos is either unleashed upon us or it is not far away strictly because we have already chosen to do what we "want," rather than first tackling what we "need," to do and because of that we experience trouble.  Once the "need," is finished and crossed off the list then we can start having some fun doing the things we "want," to do, but it all happens once we get started.  Don't wait!!!

In today's episode we are going to talk about the importance for us to be social practicing social skills because it is not good for man to be alone and yet that seems to be on the rise today.  People are experiencing isolation and loneliness perhaps more so now than ever before.  That is not a good development but there are things that we can do in order to help and even fight back against this trend, but it begins with awareness.  

It is not good for man to be alone, words that come to us from the Book of Genesis, but while they are found in the first book of the Bible, we are seeing just how true they are in today's world.  It is being reported almost daily that people are suffering from loneliness and are feeling more isolated which is causing negative impacts upon them and also upon society as a whole too.  Due to the rise of technology people choose to stay home or opt for a quick text rather than making the effort to spend meaningful time face to face with someone else.  While technology has provided so many wonderful things for us there are also other areas it has hurt.  Today we are going to address this by first bringing this to our attention and then by providing some helpful tips to regain your social interactions.
